Deadman Eliminates Hart

Level 20 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Taylor Hart pushed his remaining short stack of 120,000 over a raise into the middle from the button.

Randall Emmett was away from the table in the small blind and his hand was folded. The floor was called over and a brief discussion ensued while Pete Chen considered his options in the big blind. Chen eventually folded and Simon Deadman, the original raiser, made the call.

Hart was ahead with the {k-Spades}{q-Spades} vs Deadman's {q-Diamonds}{j-Spades}. The flop remained safe for Hart as it came the {10-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}.

But the turn spelled doom for Hart as the {j-Diamonds} hit the board to give Deadman the hooks and the innocuous {6-Hearts} on the river could not salvage Hart's tournament life as he was eliminated in 22nd place.
