Hands #79-80: Sekularac Short After Doubling Strelitz Up

Level 25 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Ognjen Sekularac
Ognjen Sekularac

Hand #79: Ognjen Sekularac completed his small blind and Shannon Shorr opted to check his big blind. The flop came {8-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{j-Spades}, Sekularac bet 50,000 and Shorr called. The turn was the {9-Clubs}, Sekularac continued with a bet of 220,000 and Shorr folded.

Hand #80: Sekularac raised to 120,000 from the button and Daniel Strelitz contemplated for a bit before he decided to reraise to 550,000 from the big blind. Sekularac tanked and then came back over top for a shove. Strelitz called for the 2,000,000 he had behind.

Strelitz: {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}
Sekularac: {k-Spades}{5-Diamonds}

The flop came {7-Spades}{9-Hearts}{7-Clubs} which kept Strelitz ahead and that's where he stayed when the rest of the board was completed with the {3-Hearts} on the turn and the {q-Hearts} on the river. Sekularac had around 885,000 left after paying Strelitz's double-up.
