Ausmus More Than Doubles

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Jeremy Ausmus
Jeremy Ausmus

Roberto Natividad raised to 15,000 from under the gun and Jeremy Ausmus three-bet to 35,00 from mid-position. Andreas Eiler shoved in the small blind having both of his opponents covered and Natividad folded while Ausmus called for the 194,000 he had behind.

Jeremy Ausmus: {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}
Andreas Eiler: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}

The board ran out {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{9-Spades} for Ausmus to hold even though Eiler picked up the gutshot to a Broadway on the turn. Ausmus doubled up, leaving Eiler behind with less than three big blinds.

Frank Doubles Through Heath

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

On a board reading {7-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{10-Hearts} Christopher Frank shoved all in and got a call from Ben Heath.

Heath showed the {j-Spades}{k-Spades} for top pair but Frank showed one better with his {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} overpair.

The river was a harmless {10-Clubs} to give Frank a big double up as he continues to climb after nearly going out on the bubble.

Bubble Boy Jai Singh

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Under the gun, Jai Singh raised to 13,000. Ben Heath was on the button and three-bet to 28,000.

After a couple of moments, Singh shoved for his remaining 120,000 and Heath called without hesitation.

There was one other hand in progress at another table that took a while to be completed, then all attention in the room focused on the all in.

It was a classic race. Singh held {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} while Heath held {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}.

The flop was a mundane {8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}. The turn did not help Singh as it came the {4-Hearts}. Only an ace could save Singh from being the bubble boy and unfortunately for him, it did not come with the river falling the {6-Diamonds} forcing Singh to finish the tournament in a cashless 61st place.

Every other player left is now in the money and will receive a minimum of at least $7,476

Dong Bets Almost Everything

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Emile Schiff raised to 12,000 from the hijack and Chen Dong three-bet to 38,000 in the cutoff. Action folded back to Schiff who called.

The flop came {10-Spades}{6-Spades}{a-Clubs}, Schiff check-called the 30,000 continuation-bet of Dong.

They both checked through the {2-Diamonds} on the turn to the {4-Spades} on the river. Schiff checked for the last time and Dong counted out his stack before pushing almost all of it over the line (171,500), leaving himself behind with 500. Schiff tanked for a while and the rest of the field flocked the table. After contemplating it for a minute or two, Schiff opted to fold.

Dong sighed from relief and then said Schiff could choose a card to see. Schiff said it didn't matter which one and the dealer offered to choose one. Dong let her and she picked the {q-Hearts}.
