Back-to-Back Doubles in Last Match

Level 11 : 2,000/4,000, 0 ante

David Peters called the shove of Jonathan Jaffe with the {k-Spades}{3-Spades} and was shown {3-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}. Peters flopped a king on {k-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}, while Jaffe had the flush draw. The {6-Clubs} turn and {9-Clubs} river bricked and Peters doubled for 45,600.

Soon after, Peters pushed with {9-Clubs}{6-Clubs} and Jaffe called with {a-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}. The board came {7-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} and Jaffe doubled for 28,800 to nearly even the stacks. It is the last match of the play-in round that is still running.

Jaffe Overcomes Peters

Level 11 : 2,000/4,000, 0 ante

Jonathan Jaffe limped in on the button and David Peters shipped all in for 57,400. Jaffe quickly called and had Peters covered and dominated.

Jonathan Jaffe: {k-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}
David Peters: {k-Spades}{6-Clubs}

The flop of {a-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{2-Hearts} was no help to Peters as he looked to hit one of three remaining sixes. The turn was the {j-Hearts} and the river was the {10-Hearts} to give Jaffe a straight and eliminate Peters.

The second round draw will be posted in a few minutes for the Round of 64.

Polk vs Leonard

Level 12 : 300/600, 0 ante

On a flop of {j-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{6-Spades}, Patrick Leonard checked and called a bet of 1,800 by Doug Polk to see the {6-Hearts} on the turn. Leonard had already checked in the dark and Polk checked behind.

Leonard then bet the {j-Spades} river for 6,300 and Polk called to get shown {10-Diamonds}{9-Spades} by the Brit, which he had beat with {k-Spades}{k-Hearts} for the overpair.

Tuhrim Establishes Big Lead Early On

Level 12 : 300/600, 0 ante

On the {k-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{a-Hearts} turn, Richard Tuhrim made it 16,000 to go and Alex Keating made the call to see the {2-Spades} on the river. Tuhrim now made it 43,000 to go and Keating reluctantly called after some table chat.

Tuhrim turned over {q-Hearts}{j-Hearts} for a flush and that won the pot.

McConnon Plays the Board

Level 12 : 300/600, 0 ante
