Bicknell Routes Rast in Timely Fashion

Level 38 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante
Kristen Bicknell
Kristen Bicknell

With around 11,000 in the middle, the dealer spread the flop of {j-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}. Brian Rast checked to Kristen Bicknell who bet 12,000 and Rast called.

The turn brought the {a-Diamonds} and Rast checked again. Bicknell fired out another 12,500 and Rast still called to see the {3-Hearts} on the river.

Rast checked for the third time and Bicknell sized up with a bet of 78,000. Rast went into the tank for at least three minutes before announcing all in for 219,100. Bicknell asked for a count and then tossed a single chip in the middle to call. Rast tabled {a-Hearts}{2-Hearts} for two pair but it was no good against Bicknell's {a-Spades}{j-Hearts} as she quickly advanced to the Round of 8.

Level 38 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante

Matthias Eibinger check-raised the {7-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{3-Clubs} flop to 25,000 and Zachary Clark made the call to see the {4-Spades} on the turn. Eibinger now bet 32,500 and Clark called to see both head to the {9-Diamonds} river.

Eibinger now made it 75,000 to go and Clark called, which saw the Austrian turn over {9-Clubs}{6-Hearts} for a straight to scoop a sizeable pot.

Ricky Guan raised to 6,000 on the button and Cord Garcia defended from the big blind. The flop fell {10-Hearts}{4-Spades}{4-Clubs} and Garcia check-called a bet of 3,000 from Guan.

The turn was the {6-Hearts} and Garcia checked again. Guan thought for nearly two minutes before tossing in a bet of 13,000. Garcia still called and the {q-Diamonds} landed on the river. Garcia checked once more and Guan fired out a bet of 35,000. Garcia quickly called and Guan tabled {4-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} for quad fours.

Level 38 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante
Ole Schemion
Ole Schemion

Joining the action on the {a-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{3-Spades} flop, a bet of 17,500 was in front of Ole Schemion and he then faced a raise to 50,000 by Jake Schindler, which Schemion called after some consideration. The {2-Clubs} appeared on the turn and Schemion now checked his option, prompting a bet of 37,000 by Schindler.

Schemion made the call and the {j-Spades} followed on the river. The German checked and Schindler now bet 150,000 with 110,000 behind. Schemion immediately shook his head and studied his opponent for a minute. What followed was the call and Schindler rolled over {3-Clubs}{3-Hearts} for a flopped set of treys.

Schemion had that beat with {9-Clubs}{5-Clubs} and scooped the pot, added "not a slow roll" in table chat.

John Smith
John Smith

Picking up the action on the turn with the board reading {9-Spades}{8-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}, John Smith ripped all in after raising preflop and betting the flop. Jimmy D'Ambrosio thought for a moment and then made the call to put Smith at risk.

D'Ambrosio flipped over {q-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} for top pair and a straight draw while Smith showed up with {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}. The {8-Clubs} paired the board on the river and D'Ambrosio held on to eliminate the heads-up specialist Smith in the Round of 16.

Yu Scoops Four-Bet Pot Against Tuhrim

Level 39 : 2,000/4,000, 0 ante

Richard Tuhrim opened the action with a raise to 10,000 and Ben Yu three-bet to 35,000. Tuhrim then four-bet to 88,000 after some consideration, which Yu called. Both players opted to check the {9-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} flop and Yu took the betting lead on the {6-Hearts} turn for 80,000.

That sent Tuhrim into the think tank and he needed a minute before electing to fold.
