It’s time for more fun at the 2019 World Series of Poker, as this afternoon marks the beginning of Event #16: $1,500 No-Limit Hold’em 6-Handed
Last year’s edition of this tournament was won in the 30th one-hour level of play, when Ognyan Dimov emerged victorious to become the third WSOP bracelet winner from his home country, Bulgaria. He bested a field of 1,663 and took home $378,743 for his efforts. The tournament was originally scheduled to be three days, but Day 3 action was cut short during the sixth level of play after reaching the official final table of six players to resume the following day on the ESPN Feature Table.
Day 1 starts at 4 p.m. local time with a brand new structure for 2019. Players will begin with 25,000 starting stacks and will play until the conclusion of 14 40-minute levels. There will be 15-minute breaks every three levels and late registration will be open for nine levels, around 10:30 p.m. local time.

Early action saw four players headed to flop after the player under the gun raised to 400.
The flop came out and the player under the gun continued with a 700 bet. He was called by Blaine Statham from the button.
The turn brought the and the UTG player bet out 3,500 and Statham raised to 7,500, his opponent called.
The river was the and Statham bet out 6,100 after his opponent check-called.
Statham tabled for a flopped set and won the hand.

Julio Cacoilo raised from under the gun to 600 and was called by Bertrand Fleurose in the hijack, the small blind, and Daniel Vampan out of the big blind. The four players saw a flop of and action was checked to Cacoilo, who bet 1,300. Fleurose called, the small blind folded, and Vampan called. The turn came and Vampan and Cacoilo checked. Fleurose put out a bet of 2,500 and Vampan folded. Cacoilo made the call, bringing the river and he led out for 6,000. Fleurose thought for a few seconds and put in the chips to call.
Cacoilo showed for a rivered two pair and took down the pot as Fleurose mucked his hand and counted his stack after the loss.
