Zinno Left Short; Busts

Level 11 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

Ofir Mor raised from early position and was called by Anthony Zinno and the big blind to see a flop of {q-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{8-Spades}. Mor was the bettor and Zinno the only caller to see the {2-Clubs} on the turn. Mor bet, Zinno raised and Mor came along to see the {7-Clubs} on the river.

Mor called and Zinno called with 20,000 behind to get shown the {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}. Zinno mucked his {a-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} for the flopped nut straight and inferior flush to see his stack reduced to a miracle, he bowed out soon after.

Eric Wasserson
Eric Wasserson

Eric Wasserson was already awaiting his fate while Andrew Yeh and Yarron Bendor were still involved in the pot. Yeh folded to a bet of Bendor on the {j-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{7-Spades}{q-Clubs} river and that left Bendor heads-up against Wasserson.

Wasserson tabled his {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{2-Clubs} and Bendor had that beat with the {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{q-Spades}{5-Diamonds} to eliminate Wasserson.

10,000 Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better
10,000 Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better

The start of day 2 must have appeared like a dream to Jeremy Heartberg, as the extended late registration saw Phil Ivey and Phil Hellmuth sit down to his left and right. Heartberg got his share of fame as media rushed by to take pictures, but unfortunately he just ran out of chips and was eliminated by Hellmuth, who has doubled the stack since sitting down when the cards got back in the air.

Further recent casualties include Dan Zack and Marco Johnson.
