Elezra and Zinno Lead Final Table of Event #20: $1,500 Seven Card Stud, Resuming at Noon

The final table of Event #20: $1,500 Seven Card Stud is set to crown a champion today on the Main Stage in the Amazon Room. The bracelet within reach, tied chip leaders Eli Elezra and Anthony Zinno have 86% of the chips in play split evenly between them creating an extraordinary table dynamic. Phongthep Thiptinnakon, Rep Porter and David Singer return with a couple of big bets (24,000) each, while Valentin Vornicu, the off and on chip leader through the latter stages of this tournament, comes back with an awkward 11 big bets, surrounded by stack extremes.

Anything can happen, however, as illustrated by Elezra, coming back from 30,000 three levels ago to end Day 3 as chip leader with 1,221,000. His streak of chip accumulation yesterday included busting Joshua Mountain (7th for $10,920) and Scott Seiver (8th, $8,337); a fourth bracelet now seems a real possibility. Experienced fellow finalist Rep Porter holds three WSOP bracelets, David Singer two and Zinno one: as expected, this seven-card poker variant attracted a highly-decorated and skilled field.

A total of 285 runners took part in the $1,500 Stud, generating a prize pool of $384,750. Today the largest prizes from it will be awarded, along with a WSOP bracelet.
