Corey Wright Leads the Remaning 12 Players of Event #25: $600 Pot-Limit Omaha Deep Stack

215 players returned to action for Day 2 of Event #25: $600 Pot-Limit Omaha Deepstack and only 12 remain. Players were scheduled to return to action today and play down to a winner but after 12 long hours, the remaining players decided to call it a day and return for Day 3 action tomorrow starting at 12 p.m. local time.

Leading the way for the second day in a row is Corey Wright (pictured left) who bagged 16,025,000 in chips. Wright came into Day 2 as the chip leader with 1,726,000 and he stayed around that amount most of the day, dropping back through the counts until he got a few knockouts late in the game. None of those were bigger than the hand he shared with Spencer Franklin. Franklin opened under the gun to 750,000 and the action folded around to Wright in the small blind. Wright re-raised to 2,400,000 and after thinking for roughly 30 seconds, Franklin moved all in for roughly 5,000,000 chips. The big blind folded and Wright snap-called. The board would end with Wright having aces full of tens, giving him his largest pot of the night and eliminating Franklin in 18th place.

All the remaining 12 players are looking for their first bracelet except one, 'Captain' Tom Franklin. Franklin is no rookie when it comes to Omaha, as he won his first WSOP Bracelet back in 1999 in the $ 2,500 Omaha Limit event for $104,000. Franklin is ranked number 1 overall in the state of Mississippi on the all-time money list $3,260,376 in tournament winnings. It has been 20 years since Franklin's first WSOP bracelet and tomorrow he will look to claim another one.

Some other notable WSOP Champions who made a deep run include two-time bracelet winner Mark Radoja (27th for $6,604), two-time bracelet winner Upeshka De Silva (26th for $6,604), 2016 WSOP bracelet winner Peter Eichhardt (23rd for $6,604), and 2016 WSOP bracelet winner Martin Kozlov , who left in 19th place for $10,385.

Day 3 will begin at 12 p.m. local time and play will resume from level 36 where the small blind will be 250,000 and the big blind will be 500,000. Levels will last 40 minutes with 15-minute breaks after every 3 levels. The 12 remaining players will play down until there is a newly crowned WSOP champion and you'll be able to follow all the action right here on PokerNews throughout the event.
