Chris Vitch: {x-}{x-} / {a-Hearts}{3-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{7-Spades} / {x-}

Picking up the action on fifth, Chris Vitch bet and Viacheslav Zhukov called. Vitch bet sixth and seventh to pick up a call by Zhukov and rolled over {a-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} for a pair of aces. Zhukov had that beat with {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{3-Clubs} for nines and treys to scoop the pot.

Benson Chops to Survive

Level 12 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

Stud Hi-Lo

Brian Rast: {x-}{x-} / {2-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{6-Hearts} / {x-}
Gary Benson: {x-}{x-} / {7-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{8-Spades} / {x-}
Andrey Zaichenko: {x-}{x-} / {6-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{q-Hearts} / {x-}

Gary Benson was already all in on fourth when Brian Rast check-called a bet by Andrey Zaichenko. Fifth and sixth repeated the same action and Rast also checked seventh. Zaichenko bet again and Rast called very reluctantly.

Zaichenko showed {a-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} for a pair of eights and a low, while Benson had {5-Clubs}{4-Spades}{3-Hearts} for a pair of treys and superior low. Rast grabbed all his cards, studied them carefully and tossed em into the muck.

Sampo Ryynanen

Omaha Hi-Lo

Marco Johnson raised to 10,000 from under the gun, and Randy Ohel called in the hijack, as did Sampo Ryynanen from the big blind.

The flop landed {5-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} and after Ryynanen checked, Johnson bet 5,000. Ohel and Ryynanen called, and when the turn fell the {10-Spades}, Ryynanen bet 10,000.

Johnson and Ohel called, and the {j-Clubs} checked through on the river.

Ryynanen tabled his {9-Spades}{7-Hearts}{5-Spades}{2-Clubs}, and both Johnson and Ohel mucked.

Negreanu Eliminated by Buchalter

Level 12 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante
Daniel Negreanu
Daniel Negreanu

Omaha Hi-Lo

Daniel Negreanu was all in preflop in a battle of the blinds against Yehuda Buchalter and they tabled the following cards.

Daniel Negreanu: {a-Spades}{10-}{5-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}
Yehuda Buchalter: {9-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}

The {q-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} flop gave Negreanu a ton of outs to receive at least one portion of the pot if not scoop with a straight, while Buchalter was in a narrow lead with his pair of fours. On the {k-Diamonds} turn, Buchalter picked up a flush draw and the {k-Spades} river indeed provided no help at all for Negreanu.

Katz Eliminated by Galfond

Level 12 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante
Cary Katz
Cary Katz

Stud Hi-Lo

Cary Katz had the bring-in and Shawn Buchanan completed. Phil Galfond raised to 10,000, and Katz made it three bets to go. Buchanan and Galfond both called.

Katz bet his final 5,000 on fourth street, and both Buchanan and Galfond called. Fifth street checked through, and on sixth, Galfond bet and Buchanan folded.

Katz: {8-Clubs}{2-Clubs} / {5-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}
Buchanan: {x-}{x-} / {a-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} (folded on sixth)
Galfond: {7-Spades}{4-Hearts} / {a-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}

Galfond caught the {10-Clubs} on seventh street meaning Katz needed an ace, nine, or a pair to win the high.

Katz squeezed the {6-Diamonds} on seventh completing a less superior low to Galfond, and he was eliminated.

Omaha Hi-Lo
