Hodge Survives Scary All-In

Level 10 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Action folded around to Sonja Hodge who moved all-in for 31,000 in the middle position and she was called by the player on the button.

Hodge: {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts}
Opponent: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}

Hodge's pocket pair was ahead and even improved after a {k-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{10-Clubs} flop but her opponent not only flopped the nut flush draw and also a broadway straight draw.

The {6-Hearts} on the turn was a good card for Hodge but she still had to a lot of cards to dodge heading to the river.

The river brought another brick with the {3-Hearts} and Hodge got a much needed double up.

Scott Edwards: {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}
Opponent: {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}

The runout was {a-Spades}{7-Spades}{4-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{10-Spades} and Edwards took down the pot with his set of tens.

Mr. Irrelevant

Level 10 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

A player from early position raised to 5,000 and action folded to Thomas Herman who made the call from the big blind.

Herman check-called the 4,500 bet from his opponent after a {3-Clubs}{8-Spades}{k-Diamonds} flop.

The {7-Clubs} was checked by both players and the dealer put the {4-Spades} on the river. Herman checked to his opponent again and the player bet 8,000. Herman made the call and both players tabled their hands.

Herman: {k-Hearts}{9-Spades}
Opponent: {q-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}

Herman, who earlier told us at PokeNews his name was irrelevant and he wouldn't last more than 30 more minutes, doesn't seem to be quite as irrelevant as he may think as he took down another pot and survived another blind level.
