Hu Is Day 3's First Casualty

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante

Orhan Sen opened with a 40,000 raise from middle position and action folded around to Haiyun Hu who moved all in for his final 78,000 in chips from the big blind. Sen made the call and players went to showdown.

Orhan Sen: {a-Hearts}{j-Spades}{6-Spades}{6-Hearts}
Haiyun Hu: {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}

Hu trailed the pocket sixes of Sen and nothing changed after the {4-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{2-Spades} flop.

The {4-Spades} on the turn gave Hu trip fours and he just needed to dodge any six or spade to win the hand.

Unfortunately for Hu, the river came the {9-Spades} giving Sen the jack-high flush and Hu was eliminated from the tournament.

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante
David Halpern

The flop read {j-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} and there was around 60,000 in the pot. Matthew Maggard bet 35,000 and was raised by his neighbor Floyd Bangerter to 150,000.

David Halpern announced that he was all in for about 530,000 and Maggard snap-called. Bangerter thought for several moment and then let his hand go, the remaining two tabled their cards.

Maggard turned over {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{6-Clubs} for the top set and Halpern stood up and prepared to walk away as he tabled {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{9-Spades} for a pair of queens with the flush draw.

The dealer burned and turned a {9-Diamonds}, moving Halpern back into his seat. A {7-Hearts} peeled off as the river card and failed to improve Maggard's hand as Halpern scooped in the pot with his turned flush.

Denis Bagdasarov opened under the gun with a raise to 50,000 and action was on Joseph Sabe who moved all in for 197,000, Bagdasarov called.

Denis Bagdasarov: {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{3-Hearts}
Joseph Sabe: {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{7-Diamonds}

Sabe flopped a set of kings and had the pocket queens of Bagdasarov crushed but the {2-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{k-Clubs} flop gave Bagdasarov an opene-ended straight draw.

The {5-Spades} on the turn and {8-Spades} on the river were not the cards Bagdasarov was looking for and he doubled up Sabe.
