Three Straight All-ins for Craig Varnell

Level 2 : 100/200, 200 ante

Craig Varnell found himself on the shortest of stacks after losing an all in with pocket queens, to an opponent with pocket aces. The opponent hit the set of aces to seal the deal, and the lost pot left Varnell just hanging on for his tournament life.

On the next hand, Varnell pushed the last of his stack and stole the blinds, and on the hand after that Varnell went all in once again and got a call.

Craig Varnell: {a-Hearts}{3-Hearts}
Opponent: {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}

Things looked bleak for Varnell preflop, but the river proved favorable on a {j-Spades}{8-Hearts}{7-Spades}{8-Spades}{3-Spades} runout.

Erwann Pecheux raised to 500 under the gun, and the player in the big blind three-bet to 2,000. Pecheux responded by moving all in for about 30,000, and his opponent snap-called, putting at risk his last 9,000.

Opponent: {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}
Erwann Pecheux: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}

The board ran {7-Spades}{a-Spades}{7-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{j-Clubs} and Pecheux made aces full of sevens to rake in the pot, sending his opponent to the exit.

McConnon Chips Up

Level 2 : 100/200, 200 ante

Jason McConnon defended his big blind against a hijack bet and a call from the cutoff, and the action checked through on a flop of {10-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{q-Hearts}.

McConnon took the lead on the turn {10-Clubs}, firing a 1,200 bet and getting a call from the hijack, with the cutoff folding. McConnon went big on the river with an overbet for 8,000, putting the hijack in the tank for several minutes. The hijack eventually folded, and McConnon is back up to 16,000 after a shaky start.

Calamusa Takes it on the Turn

Level 2 : 100/200, 200 ante

The player in the hijack opened to 500 and Pierre Calamusa, on the button, three-bet to 1,500. The big blind called, and the hijack added the remainder to call as well.

Players saw a flop of {k-Clubs}{5-Spades}{5-Hearts} that was checked around to the {k-Diamonds} turn. The big blind and the hijack checked once more. Calamusa threw in a bet of 4,000, that was enough to win the pot.
