Good Start for Liu

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

Sasha Liu limped and it was raised by a player, called by the cutoff, the small blind player, and Liu as well.

The flop appeared {4-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{4-Hearts} and after a check from the small blind and Liu, the initial raiser continued for 1,600. It folded back to Liu who thought about her move for a minute before raising it to 5,300. Her opponent folded and Liu added more chips to her stack.

Craig Varnell

Craig Varnell is back at the poker tables after getting injured playing basketball 1.5 weeks ago. Varnell is now back in the Rio playing poker and he brought out the run good since he immediately doubled up.

Varnell raised from the button to 600 and the player in the big blind called. The flop was dealt {j-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{7-Hearts} and the player in the big blind checked to Varnell and he continued with a bet of 1,000. His opponent raised to 3,000 and Varnell called.

The turn was the {4-Clubs} and Varnell was facing a bet of 4,000 when he announced pot and Varnell had 20,900 in front of him. All the chips went in the turn and Varnell needed to hit.

Craig Varnell: {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{4-Hearts}
Opponent: {10-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{6-Spades}

The river was the {q-Clubs} and Varnell hit the nuts on the river to stay in the game. ''I do run pretty good in PLO'' said Varnell to his opponent as he picked up the pot.
