Eli Elezra

Big O

Maz Kruse limped, Eli Elezra only had 900 chips left and went all in from the small blind, and Chris Ferguson checked his option from the big blind. The flop came {8-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}, Ferguson put 3,000 in the pot and Kruse folded, leaving Ferguson to go heads-up against Elezra.

Eli Elezra: {k-Hearts}{j-Spades}{9-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}
Chris Ferguson: {a-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{6-Hearts}{5-Hearts}

Ferguson's set of sevens held up, and the tournament is now in the money. All 33 remaining players will earn at least a min-cash of $3,767.

Hellmuth Tackled by Flack

Level 14 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante
Phil Hellmuth
Phil Hellmuth

Pot-Limit 2-7 Triple Draw

Layne Flack made it 3,000 on the button, Ray Henson flatted in the small blind, and Phil Hellmuth moved all his chips forward. He had around 27,000 so it was technically only a pot-sized raise, but Flack repotted to force a fold from Henson, and Hellmuth called off.

On the first draw, Hellmuth drew two and Flack one.

Flack had a made hand and patted after Hellmuth had peeled two again.

Hellmuth squeezed one on the final draw and Flack opened {9-}{8-}{7-}{6-}{2-}. Hellmuth showed {7-}{5-}{3-}{2-} for plenty of outs but he turned up an {a-}.

"You donkey motherf****r," Hellmuth ranted. "I bet you think you played your hand good," he added before storming out of the room.

Catz Raises the River

Level 13 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Cary Katz
Cary Katz

Ray Henson opened on the button, with Cary Katz defending his big blind. Henson fired a continuation bet on a {10-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{3-Clubs} flop and Katz called.

The turn came the {a-Diamonds}, and Henson double barreled for 11,000, once again getting a call from Katz. Henson bet again on the {j-Clubs} river; Katz asked for a count on the bet, which was 14,800.

Katz then pushed all of his remaining 50,000 chips in the pot, sending Henson into the tank for about five minutes before finally folding.
