Barnes Hits the Million Mark

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

With about 250,000 already in the middle, Tristen Barnes went all in for his last 246,000 from the big blind, sending Koen Breed, on the small blind, deep into the tank. The board read {10-Spades}{3-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}.

With a game-changing amount of chips on the line, Breed took several minutes to think it over, before making the call.

Tristen Barnes: {9-Spades}{9-Clubs}
Koen Breed: {9-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}

The hero call didn't work out for Breed this time, as Barnes had the goods with the set of nines. Barnes is among the chip leaders as Day 2 heads into the second break of the day.

Sow Spikes Ace To Eliminate Latta

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Kalidou Sow
Kalidou Sow

William Latta open jammed on the button and Kalidou Sow asked for a count from the small blind. After getting a confirmed amount of 165,000 Sow called.

Kalidou Sow: {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs}
William Latta: {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}

Sow was behind the pocket queens of Latta and the {5-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} flop didn't improve his hand at all.

The turn came the {8-Hearts} and Latta was one card away from a double up.

Unfortunately for Latta, the river fell the {a-Diamonds} and he was eliminated from the tournament.
