Bastian Wins a Big Pot Off Liu

Level 1 : 200/300, 0 ante
Sasha Liu
Sasha Liu

The fireworks have already kicked off over on table 433 as Sebastian Bastian from under the gun and Sasha Liu on the button clashed. Around 30,000 were in the middle with the turn showing {q-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{4-Spades}{6-Diamonds} and Bastian made it 21,000 to go. Liu called and Bastian then checked the {k-Clubs} on the river.

Liu bet 65,000 and Bastian reluctantly called to roll over {q-Diamonds}{q-Spades} for a set first. Liu mucked and Bastian also revealed his {10-Spades}{7-Spades}, scooped the pot and was moved tables the very next hand to balance the growing field.

Royal Flush For Hassabis

Level 1 : 200/300, 0 ante

Three-way to the {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{j-Clubs} river with 3,000 in the middle, Demis Hassabis checked out of the small blind and Roman Valerstein, as well as Noah Schwartz, checked back. Hassabis rolled over his cards and announced a full house as well as a straight, but only when the cards were exposed he noticed that his {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} had indeed made a royal flush.

"I knew I had the ace of clubs," Hassabis said in table chat while Valerstein and Schwartz just grinned.
