Alexey Makarov raised to 5,500 in the cutoff and Justin Bonomo defended his big blind.

It all started rather innocent with a raise to 5,500 in the cutoff by James Chen and a call by Joni Jouhkimainen in the big blind. What followed were three barrels by Chen on the 
flop for 7,000, on the turn for 20,000 and 
river for 70,000. Jouhkimainen check-called the first two bets and check-raised to 205,000 after the final bet to force a fold from Chen.
Matthew Schreiber raised to 5,000 from middle position, and the player in the big blind three-bet to 16,000.
Schreiber called, and on the 
flop, he called a continuation-bet of 12,000.
The turn fell the , and now the big blind checked. Schreiber bet 24,000 and his opponent called before the checked through on the river.
Schreiber tabled his 
for a straight, and his opponent mucked.
Paul Volpe raised to 5,500 from under the gun and Julien Martini called from out of the small blind.
The flop landed 
and Martini checked. Volpe continued for 9,000, and Martini folded.
Matt Giannetti raised to 5,500 from the cutoff and Brent Roberts called in the big blind.
The 
board checked through to the river where Roberts tossed in 7,000 and Giannetti called.
Roberts tabled his 
for a flush, and Giannetti mucked.
Firas Sadou limped in and Aaron Mermelstein raised to 9,000, which Erik Seidel on the button and Laszlo Bujtas in the big blind called, while Sadou folded.
On the 
flop all three active players checked to the turn and Bujtas check-folded to a bet of 8,000 by Mermelstein and a call from Seidel. There was no betting action on the river and Mermelstein turned over 
for a flush to scoop the pot.
With 33,000 in the middle and the flop reading 
, Alexey Makarov led out for 23,000 from the big blind.
Nick Schulman was in the cutoff and he called as the 
landed on the turn.
Makarov tossed out 100,000 but was bound to the pot-sized bet of 79,000.
Schulman deliberated for roughly a minute and then folded.
In a battle of blinds, the turn showed 
and Josh Arieh made it 13,000 to go, which Joshua Ladines in the big blind called. The appeared on the river and Arieh now bet 33,000. Ladines called and mucked when Arieh tabled 
for a seven-high straight.
