Monnette Takes Down Pot Without Showdown

Level 9 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

No-Limit Hold'em

There was about 18,000 in the pot going three ways to a flop of {2-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} between David Benyamine in the small blind John Monnette in the big blind, and Lyle Berman in the hijack. Benyamine bet 10,000 and Monnette called. Berman folded and the turn came {7-Diamonds}. Both players checked, bringing the {2-Diamonds} river.

Benyamine checked once more and Monnette tossed in a bet of 12,000. After a few moments, Benyamine folded and Monnette took down the pot.

2-7 Triple Draw

John Hennigan raised in the first position and Dan Zack called on the button.

Both pitched two and Zack called a bet from Hennigan.

Both improved to one-card draws and Hennigan fired again. Zack raised, Hennigan three-bet and Zack called.

The last draw was patted by both players and Zack paid one more bet from Hennigan.

"Wheel," Hennigan declared and he turned up {7-}{5-}{4-}{3-}{2-} to seize the pot.

Galfond Folds To Three-Bet On River

Level 9 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

2-7 Triple Draw

Phil Galfond raised from under the gun and was three-bet by Luke Schwartz in the hijack. Action folded back to Galfond and he made the call. On the first draw, Galfond took three and Schwartz drew two. After the draw, Galfond check-called a bet from Schwartz.

The second draw saw Galfond trade two and Schwartz swap one. Galfond check-called another bet from Schwartz and then both players took one card on the final draw.

On the river, Galfond checked to Schwartz once again, who again fired. Galfond put in a check-raise and Schwartz announced a three-bet. Galfond went deep into the tank and ultimately let his hand go.

Daniel: {x-}{x-}{x-} / {10-Spades}{7-Clubs}{j-Spades}{5-Hearts}

Thung Doubles Through Wasserson

Level 9 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha

Roy Thung opened from the hijack to 8,400 and Eric Wasserson defended his big blind. The flop came {k-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{q-Spades} and Wasserson checked. Thung fired a continuation-bet of 15,000 and Wasserson announced a pot-sized check-raise of 63,000. Thung went all in for 164,100 and Wasserson called.

Roy Thung: {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{10-Clubs}
Eric Wasserson: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}

Wasserson had top set but was behind Thung's nut straight. He was unable to fill up as the board ran out {8-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} and Thung secured the double.
