Berta Makes Quads to Double Up

Level 25 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

The player under the gun opened to 90,000 and Renato Berta, from one seat over, three-bet shoved for 555,000. Action folded back to the player in the small blind who reshoved for a bout 655,000. The player under the gun folded.

Berta was behind, but he hit a pretty favorable flop of {6-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}. The turn brought the {6-Hearts} improving his hand to quads and the {4-Hearts} river filled up the board to make his double official.

Linse's Kings Are Good

Linse three-bet to 175,000 from the cutoff a player's raise and the latter called.

The flop went {q-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} and Linse's opponent quickly check-called for 200,000. Both players checked on the {6-Hearts} turn.

A {10-Diamonds} fell on the river and this time Linse called a bet from his opponent for 100,000. The latter showed {q-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} but lost the pot as Linse tabled {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}.

Spasov Sends One Out

Simeon Spasov raised in the cutoff to 90,000 and after some thinking, the button player pushed for 210,000. It came back to Spasov who made the call.

The flop {10-Spades}{q-Hearts}{7-Clubs}, giving a pair of queens to the all-in player, but a {k-Diamonds} came on the turn to give a straight to Spasov who took down the pot after the {3-Spades} completed the board.

Jacob Klein opened and Maxime Chilaud three-bet to 230,000 from the cutoff. Klein made the call and the dealer brought a flop {q-Clubs}{6-Spades}{5-Spades}. Klein checked and opted to fold after Chilaud continued for 165,000.

Simon Comes Back

John Simon, who lost a big part of his stack right before the dinner break in a confrontation against Wenhao Ying is now back to a stack above the two million mark.

On the last hand, the flop showed {j-Clubs}{8-Spades}{6-Diamonds} when the player in the big blind bet 100,000 and Simon raised it to 285,000. After some tanking, the initial player announced all in and Simon snap-called with {j-Hearts}{10-Clubs} for a pair of jacks. His opponent, holding {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}, didn't hit on the {2-Hearts} turn and {q-Diamonds} river and busted from the tournament.
