Chen Raises the River

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante

Action picked up on a board reading {9-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{8-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} and about 6,000 in the middle in a headsup pot.

The big-blind player led out with a bet of 4,200, which was met with a three-bet to 13,000 from Tao Chen. With action back on the player in the big blind he folded his hand and Chen scooped the pot. According to Chen's tablemates he hasn't been at the table very long, but he's been very active since he took his seat.

Baranovsky Three-Bets

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante

A middle-position player raised it up to 2,000 and got two callers. With action on Vadim Baranovsky in the small blind, he three-bet to 11,000, which got an immediate fold from the big-blind player.

The original raiser thought for about thirty seconds before he found a fold, but the remaining two players needed less time to muck their cards.

Schwartz Flops the World

Level 7 : 300/600, 600 ante

After Michael Schwartz limped in from early position, the player in the next seat then shoved all in. Action folded back around to Schwartz and he made the call.

All-in Player: {a-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}
Michael Schwartz: {8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}

The all-in player was drawing very thin after the dealer fanned a flop of {8-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{9-Spades}, and was drawing dead on the {5-Hearts} turn. The {6-Diamonds} on the river changed nothing, and the all-in player was eliminated from the tournament.

Trokhymenko Doesn't Back Down

Level 7 : 300/600, 600 ante

Oleksandr Trokymenko raised it up to 1,100 and was called by a player in middle position. The button-player then three-bet to 6,600 and both blinds go out of the way. With action back on Trokymenko, he made the call and the middle-position player folded.

After both players checked the {6-Clubs}{10-Spades}{7-Spades} flop, Trokhymenko re-checked his cards and then slid out a bet of 7,100, which got the button-player to fold {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} face-up.

Action picked up in a three-way pot on a board reading {k-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{2-Hearts} and 5,000 in the pot.

Both players then checked the {a-Clubs} turn, and after Chattha slid out a bet of 6,600 the under-the-gun player thought for a moment before he folded his hand.
