No Money for Zhukov; Play Now Hand-for-Hand

Level 20 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante

The second to last player to leave without any money in Event #65: $10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better Championship was Viacheslav Zhukov. Zhukov was all in against Chris Vitch for a little under 200,000.

Viacheslav Zhukov: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}{5-Spades}{4-Spades}
Chris Vitch: {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{6-Spades}

The board was {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{j-Hearts} and Vitch's aces remained way ahead of Zhukov's ace-king to end the latter's attempt in 31st place. Play is now hand-for-hand on the money bubble.

Hastings Wins on River

Level 20 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante
Brian Hastings
Brian Hastings

Brian Hastings was on the button and opened to 35,000. He received a call from Andrey Zaichenko, defending his big blind, and the two saw a flop of {6-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{9-Hearts}. Zaichenko check-called a continuation-bet of 35,000 from Brian Hastings and both players checked the {7-Spades} turn.

The river came {8-Hearts} and Zaichenko checked again. Hastings fired 156,000, a pot-sized bet, and Zaichenko went into the tank for around 90 seconds before mucking his hand.

Vieira Doubles; Dzivielevski and Andrejevic Eliminated

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

Leif Force opened the action with a raise to 35,000 from middle position. Joao Vieira shipped in his last 84,000 and Force called, stating he had too good of a price not to do so.

Leif Force: {a-Hearts}{10-Spades}{2-Hearts}{2-Clubs}
Joao Vieira: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{3-Clubs}

The board ran out {k-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{3-Spades}{q-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} and Force was unable to fill up on his Broadway and flush outs as Vieira improved to make aces up and secure the double.

Meanwhile, Yuri Dzivielevski was eliminated at an adjacent table. He was seen getting up to give Nathan Gamble a hug and wish him good luck as Joe Hachem stacked up the chips that were previously his. Andjelko Andrejevic was also gone to do a redraw to the final four tables.

Shortly before his final hand, Michael Mizrachi was all in against Yuri Dzivielevski where Mizrachi held {k-}{k-}{x-}{x-} against Dzivielevski's {a-}{k-}{x-}{x-}, where the latter made a Broadway straight along the way.

Left with just 29,000, Mizrachi then got it in versus Nathan Gamble.

Michael Mizrachi: {k-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{10-Spades}{9-Diamonds}
Nathan Gamble: {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{8-Clubs}

The board came down {9-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{5-Spades} to give Gamble, "the beard and the mustache" both the high and low hand and send Mizrachi to the rail.
