McKenna Takes From Vitch on Bubble

Level 20 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante

Action was on Chris Vitch from the small blind after he had checked a board of {j-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}. Michael McKenna put in a bet of 200,000 from early position with bets of 35,000, 40,000, and 50,000 in front of each player from previous streets.

Vitch thought about his decision for a bit and ultimately made the call.

McKenna announced a straight with a four-three, tabling {j-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{3-Clubs}. Vitch looked back at his hand to make sure he was unable to beat either before mucking it as McKenna added to his stack, having eclipsed the one-point-five million chip mark before the money has been reached.

Wilkerson Doubles on Bubble

Level 20 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante

Dylan Wilkerson was all in for his final crumbs and Ryan Miller called him one seat over. It took a while for the action on one of the outer tables to complete but after a long tank and fold from Thiago Macedo, the cards finally went on their backs.

Dylan Wilkerson: {a-Spades}{3-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{2-Spades}
Ryan Miller: {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{4-Spades}{2-Hearts}

Miller already flipped his cards face-down towards the muck when the flop came {j-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{j-Spades}, giving Wilkerson a boat. The turn {4-Clubs} and river {7-Hearts} didn't change that and Wilkerson scooped up the pot.

Wilkerson Doubles Through Ohel

Level 20 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante

Randy Ohel opened from early position with a raise to 35,000 and action folded around to Dylan Wilkerson in the big blind. As he was thinking about his decision, Ohel told him he had all three options on the table: fold, shove, or stop and go. Wilkerson commented on the fact and Ohel responded affirming that the two options in Wilkerson's mind were to fold or to stop and go.

"Or stop and stop!" both Ohel and tablemate Scott Bohlman added simultaneously as they burst out in laughter. Wilkerson called.

The flop came {9-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{10-Spades} and Wilkerson checked. Ohel bet 20,000 and Wilkerson called.

"Oh, did I leave you one thousand?" Ohel asked Wilkerson. Wilkerson confirmed.

The turn came {j-Clubs} and Wilkerson shoved for his last one-sixteenth of a big blind. Ohel called, announcing he had flopped a straight.

Randy Ohel: {a-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{2-Spades}
Dylan Wilkerson: {a-Clubs}{9-Spades}{6-Clubs}{3-Spades}

Though Ohel did in fact flop a straight, Wilkerson had outs to a flush as well as a straight to chop. The turn fell {j-Clubs}, securing his flush and the river came {8-Spades} afterwards as Wilkerson secured the double to stay alive, further continuing hand-for-hand play on the bubble.

Miracle Chop for Macedo

Level 20 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante
Thiago  Macedo
Thiago Macedo

In the final hand before the break, Thiago Macedo was all in for his final few big blinds and called by initial raiser Matt Vengrin, as well as Brian Hastings in the small blind.

The flop was {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} and Hastings check-folded when Vengrin reached for chips.

Thiago Macedo: {a-Spades}{10-Spades}{5-Spades}{2-Diamonds}
Matt Vengrin: {k-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}

Macedo was drawing all but dead against Vengrin's flopped boat but caught the {7-Spades} and {5-Hearts} for a backdoor low hand to snatch half of the pot away to survive.

Vieira Left With Single 1K Chip

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante

Joao Vieira raised to 60,000 of his 61,000 stack, Michael McKenna called two seats over and Timothy Flanders called from the blinds. The flop was {10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{5-Spades} and Flanders checked. Vieira, not all in yet, shrugged and checked, as did McKenna.

On the {9-Spades} turn, Flanders let out a chuckle. "One thousand?" he asked, but logically, the minimum bet was still 20,000. Flanders then tossed in the 20,000 and Vieira went deep into the tank. He shifted himself upright in his seat, studied the board intensely and tried to figure it out if he had a chance to win it.

"My hand is really bad," he said with a wry smile.

After more than two minutes, he settled on a fold and accidentally exposed {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{x-}. McKenna, however, instantly jumped on the opportunity that had presented itself and snap pot-raised the bet of Flanders. The Brit open-folded {k-Spades}{10-Spades}{x-}{x-} and Vieira had to continue with just a single 1K chip.

Macedo and Wolansky Chop on Bubble

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante

Action folded to Steven Wolansky on the button who raised to 40,000, leaving himself 1,000 behind. Thiago Macedo, short stacked in his own right, thought about the decision before putting in a reraise. Wolansky called. On an adjacent table, there was a massive three-way pot that caused a delay for the runout. Eventually it was time to proceed with the hand.

Thiago Macedo: {9-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}
Steven Wolansky: {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{j-Spades}{2-Hearts}

The board ran out {3-Spades}{4-Spades}{10-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}, giving Wolansky the nut low and Macedo a seven-high straight as the two chopped the pot and Wolansky lived to see another hand.
