Ferguson Eliminated by Nguyen

Level 25 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Chris Ferguson
Chris Ferguson

Chris Ferguson pushed all in for 815,000 first to act and Truong Nguyen called in the hijack. The small blind reluctantly folded, Paulo Villena quickly released his cards in the big blind.

"Do you have tens or ace-king?" Nguyen asked and Ferguson confirmed he had tens, tabling the {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}.

Nguyen was ahead with {q-Spades}{q-Clubs} and the board came {k-Spades}{j-Hearts}{7-Spades}{j-Clubs}{7-Clubs} to provide no help for Ferguson, who departed in 313st place.

The board came {8-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{6-Spades} and Martinez headed to the payout desk.

Villena Off to a Flying Start

Level 25 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

It's the stuff dreams are made of, returning with less than 7 big blinds at the start of day 2, Villena has essentially multiplied his stack by ten and is now sat on twice the average.

Verbeck Doubles and Busts Li

Level 25 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Daling Li was forced all in from the big blind and faced a raise from a player in middle position and the shove of Joel Verbeck for 325,000. The initial raiser called with {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts} and Verbeck had {9-Diamonds}{9-Spades} for the superior pair.

Li had a live card with {10-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} but found no help on the board {k-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}.

Li Lays it Down

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Ming Li has had an extremely productive day so far, adding more than 1 million to her stack already. That was in spite of her laying down a hand just now. Li had opened to 120,000 under the gun and Brandon Noe three-bet all in for another 400,000 on top. Li confirmed how much it was and laid it down. "I had a pair" she told Noe, who shrugged as he collected the pot.

Lula Taylor
Lula Taylor

Lula Taylor's stack is growing by the minute as it appears, with different sizings for each tower, that should amount to more than 3.8 million.

Joseph Weinberger knocked out an opponent with ace-king versus ace-jack to boost his stack while Duff Charette, Marvin Karlins and Barry Greenstein were among the latest casualties.
