Straight Saves Sheils Again

Level 20 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

The action folded to Brandon Sheils in the small blind, and he raised to 155,000 and left himself 1,000 behind. Benoit Lam called from the big blind, and the flop fell {k-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{7-Spades}.

Sheils went into the tank and eventually checked after a minute or so had passed. Lam bet to put Sheils all in, and the Brit once again went into the tank, with a pay jump at stake.

Nearly two minutes passed before the Lam called the clock and Sheils called with just two seconds left to act.

Lam tabled {a-Spades}{k-Spades} for top pair, and Sheils needed to hit to survive with {q-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}.

The turn {6-Clubs} increased Sheils' outs, and when the {8-Diamonds} hit the river, he found the straight to double up.

Hutter Scores Huge Double Up

Level 20 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

The complete ace-high board was already out there with three hearts on it. Shahar Levi had bet 195,000 in a pot that had already over 400,000 in it. Barry Hutter tanked for five minutes according to a bystander before shoving almost all in. He raised to 521,000 leaving himself with just 1,000 behind.

Levi eventually called and showed a pair of aces but Hutter had flopped a flush to score a huge double up.

Sheils Doubles Up

Level 20 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante
Brandon Sheils
Brandon Sheils

Brandon Sheils, the younger half of the Sheils brothers, put 128,000 in the middle with only 1,000 behind. Fabiano Kovalski called from the button and both blinds got out of the way.

The flop fell {k-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{9-Spades} and Sheils took ten seconds to put his last chip in the middle which caused a couple of smiles across the table. He was quickly called by Kovalski and Sheils tabled his hand saying ''that is a really good flop for me'' while he showed {q-Clubs}{10-Spades}. Kovalski was behind with {a-Hearts}{j-Spades}.

The turn was the {3-Diamonds} and the {4-Diamonds} was dealt on the river to award Sheils the double up.

Kovalski Takes From Sheils

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Benoit Lam raised to 27,000 from under the gun and saw both Fabiano Kovalski and Brandon Sheils call. The flop fell {5-Hearts}{7-Spades}{10-Clubs}, and Kovalski bet 27,000 from the cutoff after the action had checked to him.

Shiels called before Lam folded and the {3-Clubs} hit the turn. Shiels then check-called a 40,000 bet, and when the {3-Spades} appeared on the river, the action checked to showdown.

Sheils showed {6-Hearts}{5-Clubs} for two pair, but Kovalski revealed {9-Clubs}{9-Hearts} for the higher two pair to drag the pot.

Revniaga Eliminated by Jones

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

David Cabrera Polop started it all with a raise to 28,000 and he was three-bet by Vladimir Revniaga who pushed all of his chips in the middle. The bet was about 80,000 and it sent Ryan Jones in the tank. Jones eventually pushed about 500,000 in the middle and Cabrera Polop quickly folded.

Vladimir Revniaga: {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds}
Ryan Jones: {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}

The board fell {a-Spades}{7-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{2-Spades}{3-Diamonds} and Jones won the pot with the same two pair as Revniaga but with a higher kicker.

Hutter Wins From Levi

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Barry Hutter
Barry Hutter

Shahar Levi upped the bet to 30,000 when he raised from the button and big blind and start-of-day chip leader Barry Hutter called, defending his blind.

The dealer put down a {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}{2-Spades} flop and Hutter check-called a bet of 17,000. The turn was the {10-Hearts} and Hutter now check-called a bet of 110,000. The {9-Hearts} river completed the board.

Both players checked this time and Hutter opened up {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds} and that was enough to take down the pot against the chip leader of the tournament.
