The board was down {q-Spades}{5-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{a-Clubs}, and the pot was around 200,000. Joe Cada checked from the cutoff and saw Patrick Tardif shove for 260,000. Cada snap-called and the cards went on their backs.

Kovalski Cracks Aces to Eliminate Hill

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

The flop showed {k-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{3-Spades}, and Richard Sheils checked from under the gun. Jeffrey Hill bet 45,000 from the hijack and saw Fabiano Kovalski raise to 90,000 from the small blind.

Sheils folded before Hill put the rest of his 200,000 stack in middle, which Kovalski called.

Fabiano Kovalski: {k-Spades}{8-Spades}
Jeffrey Hill: {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}

Hill was looking good for the double up but fell behind moments later when the {8-Hearts} hit the turn.

The {2-Diamonds} didn't change the outcome, and Hill saw his pocket aces outdrawn to be eliminated.

David Cabrera Polop raised to 22,000 from the hijack and big blind Ryan Jones defended. The flop fell {k-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} and Jones check-called a bet of 20,000.

The Spaniard thought about it for a while before he called.

Nick Schulman opened the action with a raise from the cutoff and called after Richard Sheils moved all in for close to 260,000 from the big blind.

Richard Sheils: {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}

The brothers from Birmingham, UK, have been battling at the same table for the past few levels, with both players seeing their stacks swing up and down.

With the final two hours of play approaching, they will both be looking to secure a place in Day 3 and a shot at the final table.

Kahle Burns
Kahle Burns

The board was down {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{2-Hearts} and with 100,000 in the middle, Joe Cada bet 100,000 from the cutoff.

"Sorry guys, I'm going to need a minute," said Kahle Burns in the big blind.

Burns was sat with 95,000 behind and faced a decision for his tournament life.

Two minutes passed with Burns still in the tank, and he once again apologized to his tablemates as he pondered his decision. A minute later the clock was called on him, and with just seconds left to act before his hand was declared dead, Burns called.

Cada revealed {q-Hearts}{10-Spades}, and Burns mucked {k-Clubs}{8-Hearts} before he departed from Event #70.

Barry Hutter
Barry Hutter

The action was on Barry Hutter and he raised to 25,000 from the hijack. He was called by Ankush Mandavia on the button and Shahar Levi defended his big blind.

The flop fell {q-Clubs}{4-Spades}{3-Clubs} and it checked to Mandavia who fired out a bet of 30,000. Levi got out of the way but Hutter stuck around to see one more community card. The turn was the {6-Diamonds} and both players checked. They checked again on the {10-Clubs} river.

Hutter showed {q-Hearts}{9-Hearts} and that was more than enough to win the pot and Mandavia mucked his hand.

Sai Chiu was eliminated on one of the other tables while this hand was going on.
