Vornicu Gets Value with Two Pair

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante

The action was caught on the {2-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{9-Hearts} turn where Valentin Vornicu bet 6,100 from the cutoff. His neighbor check-called and they went to the {8-Hearts} river.

Vorcnicu's opponent checked again and Vornicu fired 11,000. Vornicu received a call and quickly showed {k-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}. The other player mucked and Vornicu added a decent chunk to his stack.

Leah Keeps Crushing

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante

Mike Leah has guarding one of the biggest stacks in the room and his surge during Day 1 continued.

Leah was lately seen on the river of a {3-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} board where he fired 5,000 from the big blind with around 7,000 in the middle from the previous streets. His opponent in the hijack released his hand and Leah added some more chips to his tall piles.

Zeng Check-Raises on Turn

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante

Linglin Zeng was in the middle position, checking on the {10-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{7-Clubs} turn when the action was picked up. Her left-hand neighbor fired 6,000 into roughly 14,000 and Zeng went for a check-raise, making it 16,000.

The other player tanked for over a minute, but he wasn't able to find a way to continue. He let his hand go and Zeng improved her stack to 110,000 or so.

Eichhardt's Six Is Good

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante

Peter Eichhardt was in the small blind, calling a bet of 1,800 from a player in the cutoff on a flop of {k-Spades}{a-Hearts}{6-Hearts}. There was another player behind Eichhardt, but he folded.

Both Eichhardt and his opponent checked the {q-Diamonds} turn as well as the {k-Diamonds} river, and Eichhardt didn't table anything exciting with {9-Spades}{6-Spades}. It was, however, enough to rake in the pot as the other player mucked.

Morris Four-Bets, Folds to Shove

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante

Arthur Morris made it 1,000 in the hijack, he got flatted by a player on his left, and the small blind squeezed to 3,600.

Morris wasn't done yet and he wagered 10,000, forcing the cutoff to escape. The player in the small blind double checked his hand and then moved all in.

Morris learned that it was 33,600 and he processed his options for a while. He figured his hand wasn't strong enough to invest the required chips and folded.

Tarzia Rivered

Level 6 : 300/500, 500 ante

With the {k-Spades}{10-Spades}{8-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} board spread out, Rubens Tarzia and his opponent ended up all in on the river for an effective 32,900. Tarzia had a covering stack but he ran into the nuts as the other player showed {9-Spades}{7-Clubs} for a rivered straight.

Tarzia had flopped a set with {8-}{8-} and he apparently bet 4,000 on the turn. It wasn't enough to force the other player to fold his draw and the six on the river cost Tarzia a significant portion of his stack.
