Ivanov Holding Steady

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

It's been an up and down day for Stefan Ivanov, who came into today's action as the overall chip leader from the combined Day 1 flights.

He's back up over the 700k mark after a recent pot, dragging a massive amount of chips with {2-Diamonds}{2-Spades} on a {2-Hearts}{5-Spades}{5-Hearts}{7-Spades}{q-Diamonds} for a flopped full house.

Bubble Bursts

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

The money bubble has burst, and the remaining 937 players will all get at least a $1,500 payday.

Sun All In on Bubble

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Hand for hand and three players away from the money Loni Harwood and Ning Sun were heads up with 62,000 in the middle.

On the {10-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} flop, Sun checked and Hardwood led out with a 25,000 bet. With action back on Sun he opted to check raise to 100,000. Both players had well over 400,000.

Harwood made the call to see a {q-Hearts} turn. Once again she checked her option and Sun moved all in for 315,000.

Eventually Harwood threw her cards in the middle and Sun showed the table {k-Spades}{10-Spades} for flopped two pair.

Harwood then reached in grabbed her cards and turned over {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades} in which the table applauded her with "good fold".

Kim Gets Lucky on River

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Hand for hand and on the bubble a player in late position moved all in for 98,000, action folded to Wook Kim who made the call.

After five minutes of waiting and the cards remaining face down, it was finally time to run the board.

Wook Kim: {j-Spades}{j-Hearts}
Opponent: {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}

Kim was a huge underdog but the {6-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{7-Hearts} gave him a ton of more outs, as he was the only one with a heart.

The {7-Diamonds} turn was no help but a lucky {10-Hearts} on the river gave him a flush to knock out his opponent.

Gavin Puts Kwak to the Test on the Bubble

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Kevin Kwak raised to 15,000 from middle position, the player directly to his left made the call and so did Lexy Gavin out of the big blind.

All three players checked the flop of {k-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}.

Gavin led out for 26,000 on the {5-Diamonds} turn card and got called by both players.

The river card was the {6-Clubs} and Gavin put both of the players to the test for their tournament lives on the stone bubble. Kwak was able to find a call with his remaining 135,000 chips and the other player folded.

Kwak: {a-Clubs}{a-Spades}
Gavin: {a-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}

Kwak was ahead with his aces and doubled up on the money bubble.

O'Kearney Basically Doubles Before Break

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante
Dara O'Kearney
Dara O'Kearney

With the last hand before break dealt, Matt Vaughan opened the action with a raise to 11,000 in middle position. Dara O'Kearney made the call and the two players went heads up to the flop.

Vaughan check called a 15,000 bet on the {6-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{9-Clubs} flop. The {9-Spades} turn saw Vaughan check for a second time but O'Kearney continued for 30,000.

Vaughan then cut out a raise and check-raised to 80,000. O'Kearney quickly made the call.

The {6-Diamonds} river came and Vaughan checked again. O'Kearney didn't think for long before he put a whole stack of 5,000 chips in the middle, which only left him with 10,000 behind.

Vaughan reluctantly made the fold, upon mucking his hand his cards opened and ace-king was exposed to which O'Kearney saw and told him "I had a big hand"
