Evans Gets There

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

On a board reading {7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} Paul Evans check-called a bet of 75,000 with 300,000 already in the pot.

The turn brought a third six {6-Hearts}. Evans and his opponent in the hijack both checked.

Evans led out 260,000 on the {10-Spades} river and got called. Evans saw just how lucky he got when they both turned their cards over.

Evans: {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}
Opponent: {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}

Hortaleza Bets, Wins, Shows

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 24,000 ante

With more than a half-million chips already in the pot, Austin Hortaleza bet 400,000 on the river, from the hijack, on a {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{10-Clubs}{9-Spades}{8-Clubs} board. His opponent on the big blind, Sebastian Grax, went deep into the tank.

Clock was eventually called on Grax, who asked Hortaleza if he would show if Grax folded. Hortaleza agreed, and Grax continued to think it over.

Floor was called over, giving Grax 30 seconds. The WSOP official counted down the final five seconds, getting to zero and rendering Grax's hand dead.

Hortazela, as promised, showed, with {a-Clubs}{10-Spades} good for two pair.

Madsen Pips Chou Flush vs Flush

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 24,000 ante

With 280,000 in the pot and four players on the {7-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} flop, action was on Mikkel Madsen in the big blind. He elected to lead for 115,000, which was called by Tom Chou.

Heads up to a {q-Diamonds} turn, which brought in a front door flush draw but action checked through. A {10-Spades} river didn't change to much and Madsen pushed a 250,000 bet forward.

Chou didn't think to long before calling only to see he was out-piped by one.

Madsen turned over {10-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} and Chou open mucked {9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}, for flush over flush.

Yepez Turns the Nuts

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 24,000 ante

A raise to 50,000 from the cutoff got called by the button and Luis Yepez in the big blind.

The flop came {j-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{6-Spades}. Yepez put in a check-raise to 250,000 after the button bet 75,000. The preflop raiser folded and the button moved all in for an additional 423,000. After debating for some time Yepez decided he was priced in and made the call.

Yepez: {k-Spades}{q-Clubs}
Opponent: {6-Clubs}{5-Clubs}

Yepez turned the nuts when the {9-Hearts} came on the turn. He just needed to fade a club on the river, and he did just that once the {4-Hearts} completed the board. Yepez pulled in the over 1,500,000 chip pot and now sits on a 2,600,000 stack.

Yuan: {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}
Early Position: {a-Clubs}{9-Clubs}

The board ran out in Yuan's favor, {4-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{2-Spades}{4-Spades}{4-Clubs} giving him a full house and all the chips.
