Foxen Doubles Through Kornuth on the Bubble

Level 12 : 0/0, 2,500 ante

Chance Kornuth limped from first position along with Alex Epstein from second position, Alex Foxen in the hijack, and Gabe Patgorski on the cutoff. Bill Perkins, on the button, checked.

A flop reading {q-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{10-Spades} was dealt. Kornuth bet 19,000. Epstein folded. Foxen gave it some thought, then moved all in for 38,500. Patgorski and Perkins folded. Kornuth made the call.

Alex Foxen: {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}
Chance Kornuth: {9-Hearts}{8-Spades}

Kornuth flopped a straight, but the {j-Spades} turn and {q-Diamonds} river completed the board, and Foxen made queens full of jacks to take down the pot.

On a {10-Clubs}{10-Spades}{9-Spades} flop Dylan Wilkerson checked to Alex Epstein who put out 75,000.

"Damn," said Wilkerson who had 55,000 behind. "I was going to check-jam."

"That is still an option," said Epstein.

Eventually Wilkerson folded and Epstein showed {6-Spades}{8-Clubs}.

"You know, when you flop that strong..." he said as he moved over a million chips.

Level 12 : 0/0, 2,500 ante
Ben Lamb
Ben Lamb

Ben Lamb and Anson Tsang tussled pre-flop with Lamb eventually getting his 240,000 stack in with {a-Clubs}{q-Spades}. He had run into the {k-Clubs}{k-Spades} of Tsang.

The flop {k-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{7-Hearts} gave Tsang top set and although the {j-Spades} gave Lamb a gutshot straight draw, the river was the {9-Clubs} and he was eliminated.
