Hendee Hits on the River

Level 6 : 300/500, 0 ante
Paul Hendee
Paul Hendee

Action was joined as the cards were being run out and Paul Hendee and Gabriel Andrade were happy to provide commentary to recount the hand.

According to Andrade, he raised to 1,000 on the button and the small blind called. Hendee three-bet to 2,000 from the big blind and Andrade called. The small blind then shoved for around 8,000. Hendee called and Andrade chose to let the two of them duke it out.

Paul Hendee: {k-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}
Small blind: {a-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{4-Hearts}

The board ran out {7-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{5-Hearts}{k-Spades} giving Hendee kings up on the river to beat his opponent's sevens up and send him to the rail. With the pot, Hendee now finds himself as the likely chip leader in the tournament nearing the end of Level 6.

Katz Uses the Induction Suction

Level 6 : 300/500, 0 ante

Action folded to the player on the button who limped in. Cary Katz completed from the small blind and the big blind checked his option. The flop fell {10-Spades}{6-Clubs}{4-Spades} and Katz led out with a pot-sized bet of 1,500. The big blind got out of the way and the player on the button called.

The turn was {j-Hearts} and both players checked. The river came {k-Clubs} and Katz flung one purple, T$500 chip out to the center of the table with a high arc. After about 20 seconds, the player on the button put in a raise to 4,000.

Katz went deep into the tank for over two minutes before announcing a call. His opponent was in the six seat and immediately slid his cards into the muck pile on his immediate left.

Katz tabled {q-Spades}{6-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{5-Spades} for two pair and took down the pot.

Tsang Doubles with Quads

Level 6 : 300/500, 0 ante
Anson Tsang
Anson Tsang

Anson Tsang raised to 1,300 in the hijack and the player on the button three-bet to 3,300. Action folded back to Tsang, and he called as the flop landed {9-Clubs}{a-Spades}{10-Clubs}.

Tsang checked, and the button bet pot of 7,400. Tsang announced he was all in for 11,200, and his opponent called having Tsang covered by just 300.

Tsang: {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{3-Clubs}
Opponent: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{2-Hearts}

Tsang was at risk with his set against his opponent's flush draw, but when the {9-Spades} landed on the turn to give Tsang quads, he could breath a sigh of relief. The river landed the meaningless {4-Clubs}, and Tsang scooped the double with his quads.

Barbero: {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}
Opponent: {j-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{8-Clubs}
