Ropert Left With Crumbs

Level 5 : 300/500, 500 ante

All five community cards were down {9-Hearts}{10-Spades}{3-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{q-Clubs} and Pierre Calamusa bet 15,000 from the hijack after his compatriot Corentin Ropert had checked from the big blind.

Ropert was in the tank with a big decision to make with 17,500 behind.

Ropert thought for close to two minutes before he smiled at Calamusa, sighed, and called.

Calamusa revealed {10-Clubs}{6-Clubs} for a flush and Ropert mucked before the players continued their conversation in French as the dealer passed the chips in Calamusa's direction.

Level 5 : 300/500, 500 ante
Erik Seidel
Erik Seidel

Erik Seidel stood from his chair and departed from his table before the dealer moved all his chips in the direction of Dominik Nitsche.

An all-in situation had occurred with the board down {j-Spades}{7-Spades}{2-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}, and Nitsche held {7-Hearts}{5-Hearts} for two pair.

The dealer opened up Seidel's cards to reveal {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} for top pair, and Nitsche eliminated the eight-time bracelet winner Seidel.

Kempe Makes the Right Call

Level 6 : 300/600, 600 ante
Rainer Kempe
Rainer Kempe

Rainer Kempe raised to 1,400 from the hijack, and both Niall Farrell and Ben Heath called. The flop fell {j-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}, and all three players checked with {5-Spades} revealed on the turn.

The action checked through to the {5-Hearts} river, and Heath checked from the big blind. Kempe passed the action to Farrell who bet 3,000 and Heath folded.

Kempe picked up three 1k chips from his stack and held them for 10 seconds before he palmed them onto the table.

Farrell mucked which brought a smile to Kempe's face before he revealed {a-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for ace high and won the pot.
