Owen Makes Correct Fold

Level 16 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

Razz

Adam Owen bet on fifth street with his board showing eight-low and Cliff Josephy called.

Owen paired a three on sixth and Josephy fired, having picked up a wheel card. Owen called.

Josephy fired again on the river and Owen tanked for a moment.

"You're not raising, right?" Josephy asked and Owen replied, "No, no."

"Obviously, I started with two low cards when I have a jack," Josephy said, pointing at his door card.

Owen showed his {7-}{6-}, folding eight-seven and Josephy rewarded him by showing {a-}{3-} among his hole cards for a better hand.

Owen: {x-}{7-}{6-} / {3-}{8-}{4-}{3-} - fold
Josephy: {a-}{3-}{j-} / {j-}{6-}{7-}{4-}

The {6-Hearts} and {k-Hearts} checked through on the turn and river, and Strebkov tabled his {a-Clubs}{9-Spades}{8-Clubs}{3-Hearts} and Guagenti folded.

Stud Hi-Lo

Jim Collopy completed and Patrick Leonard called. Leonard's board kept rolling out low and suited and he fired on all remaining streets. Collopy called down all of the bets.

"Ah, you got there," Collopy said as he couldn't beat Leonard's pair.

Baker Busts Two Away from Money

Level 16 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

Limit Hold'em

Kim Baker tangled with Brian Hastings in a hand of limit hold'em which saw the rest of her chips go into the middle on the river of the {j-Hearts}{q-Spades}{2-Spades}{7-Clubs}{a-Diamonds} board.

Baker had flopped a pair and a flush draw but her {j-Spades}{10-Spades} failed to improve on the turn and river and Hastings had her beat with {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}.

Baker was eliminated in 48th place and the tournament is now on the stone bubble. The tournament staff announced a hand-for-hand format with the clock being paused. Two minutes will be deducted for each hand.
