Jennifer Shahade
Jennifer Shahade

Jennifer Shahade raised to 1,000 under the gun and picked up callers from the button and big blind.

All three players checked the {4-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{4-Hearts} flop and two more checks on the {10-Hearts} turn saw the button bet 1,500. The big blind folded but Shahade called to see the {j-Spades} river.

Shahade checked for the third time and the player on the button bet 3,500. Shahade thought for over a minute before calling with the {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} and it was good as her opponent mucked.

Not a Nitroll, Just Second Best

Level 3 : 200/400, 400 ante

A pot of already just over 40,000 was in the middle on a board that read {9-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}. Shawn Daniels was facing a 15,000 river bet from Richard Barabino.

"Are you just going to be slightly better than me all day or am I nitrolling you right now?" asked Daniels. He frowned and studied the board before eventually calling. Barabino turned over the {j-Spades}{8-Spades} for the straight and Daniels quickly mucked.
