Saeman Chipping Away

Level 5 : 300/600, 600 ante

Jerold Saeman continues to add to his stack. Just now he defended his big blind preflop to a 1,300 open and saw a flop of {k-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{4-Hearts}. He checked to the preflop raiser and they checked it back.

On the {6-Hearts} turn, Saeman bet 3,000, which got a call and the river fell the {a-Clubs}. Saeman barreled for 5,000 and his opponent backed down, giving him another little addition to his stack.

Flaherty Showers An Opponent

Level 5 : 300/600, 600 ante

Action folded to Andrew Flaherty in the cutoff and he opened to 2,000. The player on the button announced he was all in and both blinds folded, putting action back on Flaherty who asked for a count.

His opponent said it was 14,200 and the dealer cut out the stack to confirm. Fifteen seconds later, Flaherty had announced a call and the two tabled their hands.

Andrew Flaherty: {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs}
Opponent: {a-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}

Flaherty was in commanding position to chip up and secure the knockout. The board ran out {q-Clubs}{5-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}, giving his opponent outs to chop on the river. Fortunately for Flaherty, those outs never came and he now finds himself back over starting stack.

Gorodinsky Makes Aces Up

Level 5 : 300/600, 600 ante

With roughly 11,000 in the middle and the board reading {j-Clubs}{4-Spades}{4-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}, Mike Gorodinsky bet 4,000 and the button raised to 10,000.

Gorodinsky called, and when the river landed the {9-Spades}, both players checked.

The button tabled his {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}, but Gorodinsky revealed his {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts} for aces up to scoop the pot.

Elio Fox

Elio Fox raised to 1,300 from the hijack, and was called by the cutoff.

Fox bet 2,700 on the {7-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{4-Hearts} flop, and his opponent called.

Both players checked the {5-Hearts} turn, and the {a-Diamonds} peeled off on the river. Fox bet 6,300 and his opponent quickly called.

Fox tabled {q-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} and said, "Nothin'," and his opponent showed {a-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} for two pair and the winner.

Platt Pays $10 to See the Ten

Level 5 : 300/600, 600 ante

Following a raise to 1,900 and a call from the hijack, PokerNews' own [Removed:139] three-bet the small blind to 8,500.

The initial raiser called as the hijack folded, and the flop landed {4-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{7-Spades}.

Platt continued for 6,700 and his opponent called as the turn fell the {a-Spades}. Platt checked, and his opponent sized up Platt's remaining chips before betting 6,300.

A discouraged Platt sat there for a few moments and eventually decided to fold leaving himself with just 13,500.

"Show the bluff," blurted out one player.

"Don't show a bluff," responded Platt.

Platt's opponent was in the midst of pushing his cards to the muck and then he paused.

"10 dollars and I show. You can pick," Platt's opponent added.

Platt agreed and selected the card on his right; the {10-Spades}.

Serda Pushes Out Opponent

Level 5 : 300/600, 600 ante

A player raised to 1,500 from the hijack and Patrick Serda three-bet to 5,500 from the small blind. His opponent asked how much and as the dealer confirmed the number, Serda offered that he could trade the yellow (T$1,000) chip he had bet for an orange (T$5,000) chip in order to see the flop.

His opponent complied and the flop came {7-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}. Serda continued for 7,000 and got a call. The turn was {a-Hearts} and both players checked.

On the river {k-Spades}, Serda fired for 14,000. His opponent went into the tank, counting out a call and even going as far as picking the chips back up as if he were about to toss them into the pot. Without ever displaying any forward motion, however, he decided against committing any further chips and instead picked his cards up and tossed them to the center of the table, resulting in the dealer sending the pot Serda's way.

Hougaard's Flopped Top Pair Not Enough

Level 5 : 300/600, 600 ante

David Lolis raised to 1,200 in late position and Jesper Hougaard called in the cutoff, as did the small blind.

The flop landed {8-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} and action checked to Hougaard who bet 2,100. The small blind and Lolis called before the turn fell the {3-Spades}.

The small blind now led out for 4,800, and after Lolis folded, Hougaard called as the {a-Spades} checked through on the river.

The small blind tabled his {a-Diamonds}{9-Spades}, and Hougaard flashed the {9-Clubs} and then mucked.
