Gerecke Goes Up

Level 1 : 100/200, 200 ante

Mark Gerecke faced a 2,300 bet from an opponent on the big blind, with the board reading {8-Spades}{9-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}. Gerecke called, and the river brought the {k-Diamonds}. Gerecke showed {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} and took down the pot with his top pair.

The same two players went head-to-head again on the following hand, with Gerecke getting the best of it once more. Gerecke's {5-Hearts}{3-Hearts} was the winner on a {8-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{5-Spades}{a-Diamonds} board, and after that small pot he's up to 68,000 on Level 1.

Sinclair Can't Bet Off the Chop

Level 1 : 100/200, 200 ante
Jack Sinclair
Jack Sinclair

A player in the big blind led out for 700 on an {a-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{j-Hearts} flop, and 2018 WSOP Europe Main Event champ and former WSOP November Niner Jack Sinclair called in middle position.

The big blind bet 1,500 after the {a-Spades} fell on the turn, and Sinclair called again.

The {8-Spades} completed the board on the river, and the big blind bet 3,500. Sinclair raised to 7,000, and his opponent instantly called, tabling {a-Hearts}{2-Hearts} for aces full. Sinclair turned over {a-Clubs}{6-Clubs} for the same full house, and the two chopped the pot as the big blind told Sinclair, "Lots of pressure..."
