Welch Rips it on Papazian

Level 4 : 300/500, 500 ante

With roughly 11,000 already brewed in the pot, the flop was {j-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{4-Hearts}, in a three-way pot, the action checked to Alexandru Papazian on the button and he bet out 6,500 and both the player from early position and Rob Welch called.

The turn was the {5-Clubs}, the player first to act checked, Welch checked and Papazian fired out again this time for 12,000, the third player in the hand mucked and Welch check-raised to 26,000 which Papazian called.

The {7-Spades} fell on the river and Welch stacked his chips on top of each other and pushed them into the middle for an all-in. Papazian immediately asked for a count and after finding out it was 44,300 he went in the tank for about 3 minutes before letting his hand go.

Colman Returns to Aces

Level 4 : 300/500, 500 ante
Dan Colman
Dan Colman

Dan Colman nonchalantly returned a little late from his dinner break and barely got in his seat to receive the cards. He was faced with a raise to 1,000 from early position and Colman three-bet to 3,000 in middle position.

The action folded back to the initial raiser who mucked his {a-Spades}{10-Clubs} face up. Colman showed {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds} as his first hand back from dinner break to win a small pot. Colman had lost nearly half of his stack prior to the dinner break and has some work to do if he wants to a bag a reasonable stack at the end of the day.

Stratmeyer's Set of Queens Good

Level 4 : 300/500, 500 ante

Action folded to Chris Vitch in the hijack and he opened to 1,100. Christian Stratmeyer called from the small blind and the player in the big blind three-bet to 3,500. Vitch called and Stratmeyer came along as well, taking action three ways to the flop {2-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{9-Hearts}. Stratmeyer checked and the big blind bet 6,400. Vitch folded and Stratmeyer called.

The turn came {8-Hearts} and Stratmeyer checked again. The big blind then announced a bet of 17,000. Stratmeyer looked at his opponent's stack which had around 31,000 behind and decided to call. The river was {10-Diamonds} and both players checked.

Stratmeyer tabled {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} for a set of queens and his opponent frustratedly mucked, unhappy about having given up when the board ran out in the manner it did.
