Strickland Pays Off Hyden

Level 2 : 200/300, 300 ante

With plenty of chips in the middle already, Eli Strickland check-called a bet of 16,000 on the {8-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} river and his sole remaining opponent Christopher Hyden on the button turned over the {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}. Strickland sigh-folded {j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} face up and dropped to around half the starting stack.

River Bet Win for Greco

Level 2 : 200/300, 300 ante

Action folded to Mina Greco on the button, and she limped. Augie Martinho completed from the small blind, and John Daliman raised from the big blind to 1,300.

Greco called and Martinho folded, and both players checked through to the river on the {5-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} board.

After Daliman checked, Greco bet 1,300, and Daliman folded.

Aronson's Aggression Pays Off

Level 2 : 200/300, 300 ante

The pot was already over 30,000 when Cary Aronson and an opponent on the button arrived at the river.

With the board showing {a-Clubs}{j-Spades}{3-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}, the cutoff player checked to Aronson on the button. Aronson took the initiative and put out a bet for 18,100, sending his opponent into the tank.

After several minutes and a couple of inquisitive side eyes from both players, the cutoff finally folded. Aronson is over the 100k mark for the day.

Gomez Done in by Kings

Level 2 : 200/300, 300 ante

Takao Shimizu raised to 900 preflop, then called a three-bet to 2,000 from Enrique Gomez.

Gomez bet 5,200 on the {7-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{7-Spades} flop, and Shimizu raised to 10,500. Gomez shoved for 31,000 and Shimizu quickly called.

Enrique Gomez: {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}
Takao Shimizu: {a-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}

Gomez's kings had been cracked by the flopped full house of Shimizu, and Gomez got no relief on the {2-Diamonds} turn or {2-Clubs} river to bust.

Saout Out-Kicks Statman

Level 2 : 200/300, 300 ante

Antoine Saout raised to 700 from under the gun, and Daniel Statman called in the cutoff, as did Ryan Leng from the big blind.

Action checked round on the {4-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{3-Clubs} flop, and when the turn fell the {5-Diamonds}, Statman bet 1,000.

Leng folded, and Saout called as both players checked the {q-Diamonds} on the river.

Statman tabled his {a-Hearts}{8-Hearts}, but it would be Saout's {a-Spades}{10-Spades} that would earn him the pot.

Kahan Cannot Beat Andrews

Level 2 : 200/300, 300 ante

David Kahan opened to 700 and Cherish Andrews on the button three-bet to 1,800, which Kahan called. On the {q-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} flop, Kahan checked and called a bet of 1,500 before the {6-Diamonds} turn was checked through. On the {5-Diamonds} river, Kahan checked and folded when facing a bet of 2,000 by Andrews, waving his {a-Spades}{k-Clubs} in the air.

Andrews raked in the pot and Kahan added "one day I will win a hand against you," to which Andrews replied with a "maybe."

One hand later, Kahan raised to 700 and Andrews called in the cutoff, as did the button and small blind. "I surrender," Kahan joked and the {6-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} flop was checked to Andrews, who bet 1,500 and was called by the small blind only. No betting action took place on the {10-Clubs} turn and Andrews called a bet of 2,000 on the {6-Hearts} river.

Her opponent showed {a-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} and Andrews scooped the pot with {5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}.

While Kahan may not have won a pot against Andrews yet, he has already almost doubled his stack.

Minetti Building

Level 2 : 200/300, 300 ante

Michael Minetti has had a productive start to the day, chipping up over the first three hours and he shows no signs of slowing down. The 2010 $1,000 No Limit Hold'em - Seniors Championship runner up, was in a hand against Scott Parish just now with the {9-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} flop already out. Minetti had check-raised Parish's 5,000 bet to 12,500 and Parish went into the tank before laying it down.
