Max Value

Level 5 : 300/600, 600 ante

As recapped to us by his table, Max Altergott was on the winning end of a cooler.

The board was {q-}{j-}{8-}, and a three-way all-in ensued with Altergott holding {j-}{j-}, leading one opponent's {8-}{8-} but trailing another's {10-}{9-}.

A {q-} paired the board on the turn and Altergott wound up more than doubling up.

Hawkins is Relentless

Level 5 : 300/600, 600 ante

The action folded around to Matt Berkey in the small blind who opted to just limp in. Maurice Hawkins raised to 1,900 from the big blind and Berkey called to see a flop of {10-Spades}{8-Clubs}{6-Clubs}.

Berkey check-called a bet of 3,000 from Hawkins and then another 5,000 on the {j-Hearts} turn card. The {6-Diamonds} paired the board on the river and Berkey checked for the third time. Hawkins sized up a bet of 22,500 this time and Berkey went into the tank for a couple of minutes before finally sending his cards to the muck.

Minor Loss for Friedman

Level 5 : 300/600, 600 ante

Adam Friedman raised to 1,400 in the hijack and he found two callers in the button and big blind.

Friedman continued for 1,700 when the {q-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} hit the felt and only the big blind called.

The {a-Diamonds} turn and {4-Spades} river were checked by both players and Friedman mucked his hand upon seeing his opponent roll over {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts}.
