Action for Day 2 of Event #48: $1,500 MILLIONAIRE MAKER is finished with nine players remaining. The day started with 1,041 players, and Canadian Daniel Dvoress made it through to the final table with the biggest stack, just shy of 100 million chips.

Dvoress, who ranks 5th on the Canadian money list with more than $15 million in winnings, was near the top of the counts for much of the final part of the day, and he made a push at 11 handed, getting them to the final table single-handed by knocking out both "Bot Marley" in 11th and Manuel "robocup" Ruivo in 10th.

Day 2 Action

Day 2 of Event #48: $1,500 MILLIONAIRE MAKER kicked off at 2:30 p.m. Eastern time today with 1,041 players dreaming of becoming a millionaire with the deal of the cards. Kenny "Lambert44" Hallaert brought the biggest stack into Day 2, while Lev "LevMeAlone" Gottlieb, fresh off their stunning Short Deck Championship win over Mikita Badziakouski, came into the day with the second biggest stack.

Only 764 of them were destined to make the money, and it played down pretty fast. When action kicked off on Level 4, they were already starting to collect cash on their way out the door. It didn't slow down any after the money bubble burst. Less than two hours later, the field had plummeted to less than 200 players, and another hour later there were fewer than 100 stacks left in play.

There were just four tables left in play within another 90 minutes, and few notables dropped along the way including GGPoker ambassador Daniel Negreanu, Steven "Numb Nuts" Halcovitch, Seth Davies, Wei "WayneHeung" Tso, and Norihiro "orzorz" Otani. It didn't really slow down till play hit 18 players remaining with Isaac Haxton and Sam "JejuKingCrab" Razavi among the players to fall.

It took about an hour to play down to 12 remaining and then things really stalled, as they played for nearly an hour before "mountrath" ended their run in 12th place. Dvoress then went to work dispatching "Bot Marley" in 11th and Ruivo in 10th to set up the final table.

The final table will play out on Saturday, August 8th starting with Level 29, with play continuing until a champion is crowned. PokerNews will be there to bring you the action from the first hand to the last, and follow PokerNews daily for more action from the GGPoker WSOP Online.
