Assuncao Garla Takes From Schein

Level 25 : 300,000/600,000, 60,000 ante

Alan "TheCockroach" Schein limpe in and Luis "Xapilskinha" Assuncao Garla min-raised to 1.2 million in the cutoff, which Schein called. They checked the {k-Spades}{7-Hearts}{5-Spades} flop and Schein bet the {10-Diamonds} turn for 1,267,200, Assuncao Garla called. The {a-Hearts} river was checked once more and Schein tabled {2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}, which the Brazilian had beat with {k-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}.

Chip leader Luis "Xapilskinha" Assuncao Garla pushed all in from the small blind and Kunal "Alex_52" Bhatia called for 6,377,224 and his tournament life in the big blind.

Kunal "Alex_52" Bhatia: {q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}
Luis "Xapilskinha" Assuncao Garla: {k-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}

Assuncao Garla's king was ahead after the {7-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{6-Spades} flop and {j-Clubs} turn but Bhatia caught the {q-Diamonds} on the river to stick around.

Divanshu "d0rk21" Khurana went through the blinds and was left as the shortest stack. He then pushed from the hijack and picked up a call by Alexandros "THE Sheriff" Theologis in the big blind.

Divanshu "d0rk21" Khurana: {a-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}
Alexandros "THE Sheriff" Theologis: {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}

Khurana had a kicker problem to solve and the {9-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{3-Hearts} flop opened up some backdoor outs. The {8-Hearts} turn provided the flush draw and Khurana could catch a four or heart to stay in contention. He caught both as the {4-Hearts} rolled off on the river to secure the double up.

First Break on the Final Table

Level 25 : 300,000/600,000, 60,000 ante

Alexandros "THE Sheriff" Theologis has pulled back into third place after he won a pot without showdown against Eduards "IlIlIlIliIIl" Kudrjavcevs and a few minor hands without any flop later, the remaining nine players were sent into a scheduled six-minute break.

Another 24 hands remain at the current blinds when the cards go back in the air.

Eduards "IlIlIlIliIIl" Kudrjavcevs raised to 1,200,000 and Alexandros "THE Sheriff" Theologis three-bet off a ten big blind stack. Kudrjavcevs stuck the rest in and Theologis called.

Eduards "IlIlIlIliIIl" Kudrjavcevs: {j-Spades}{j-Hearts}
Alexandros "THE Sheriff" Theologis: {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}

The {a-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} flop instantly sealed the double-up, as Divanshu "d0rk21" Khurana would later reveal the {j-Diamonds} in his hand.

Theologis Gets Some Back; Assuncao Garla Chips Up

Level 25 : 300,000/600,000, 60,000 ante

Kunal "Alex_52" Bhatia raised to 1.32 million and was called by the far shortest stack, Alexandros "THE Sheriff" Theologis, who defended the big blind. They checked the {10-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{5-Clubs} flop and the {6-Diamonds} turn. Theologis bet the {3-Spades} river for 1,148,300 and Bhatia reluctantly called with {a-Clubs}{q-Spades} for a bluff catcher but Theologis had {k-Hearts}{6-Clubs} for a pair.

One hand later, Wenhao "pwhwin" Peng raised to 1.44 million and Luis "Xapilskinha" Assuncao Garla defended the big blind. Assuncao Garla check-raised the {7-Spades}{5-Spades}{3-Spades} flop from 1.86 million to 5.82 million and Peng stuck around o see the {q-Hearts} turn. A bet of 5,069,800 by Assuncao Garla ended the hand right there without any further resistance.

Theologis in the Danger Zone

Level 24 : 250,000/500,000, 50,000 ante

Alexandros "THE Sheriff" Theologis raised to a cool million, Kunal "Alex_52" Bhatia three-bet shoved 6,337,812 in the cutoff and Theologis called to put him at risk.

Kunal "Alex_52" Bhatia: {7-Clubs}{7-Hearts}
Alexandros "THE Sheriff" Theologis: {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}

The classic race landed in Bhatia's favor after a {3-Spades}{2-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{2-Clubs} rundown. Shortly after, Theologis shoved all in and picked up the blinds and antes, but is still dangerously short.

More for Schein

Level 24 : 250,000/500,000, 50,000 ante

Alan Schein limped in on the button, Vladas "Vladiator13" Tamasauskas raised to 2,250,000 in the small blind and Schein peeled a flop. The Lithuanian bet 1,362,500 on the {8-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{a-Clubs} flop and the long-time American high roller and two-time WSOP Circuit ring winner called in position.

On the {5-Hearts} turn, Tamasauskas checked and Schein bet half pot with 4,087,500, about half of Tamasauskas' remaining stack. The Lithuanian ran down several minutes of his time bank before folding.

Schein Gets Value With Tens

Level 24 : 250,000/500,000, 50,000 ante

Ignacio "Curandero" Moron raised to 1 million and picked up two calls by Wenhao "pwhwin" Peng from one seat over and Alan "TheCockroach" Schein in the small blind. On the three-way flop of {a-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}, the action checked to Moron and he bet 950,000 in order to pick up two calls.

Schein then bet the {2-Diamonds} turn for one big blind and Moron came along, as did Peng. Schein also bet the {7-Hearts} river for 1 million and Moron folded. Peng gave it some thought and called with the {10-Hearts}{9-Hearts} but Schein had the best hand in {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}.
