Edelstein Chips Up

Level 43 : 250,000/500,000, 50,000 ante

Tom "Matrix1973" Hoseth limped under the gun, David "Duvidl18" Edelstein called from the small, and Adam "4bbVirtuoso" Cader checked his option. The flop of {7-Spades}{9-Clubs}{a-Clubs} checked to Hoseth who bet 925,000. Only Edelstein called. They both checked the {8-Hearts} turn, and Edelstein check-called the bet of 1.85 million on the {3-Hearts} river.

Tom "Matrix1973" Hoseth: {q-Hearts}{j-Clubs}
David "Duvidl18" Edelstein: {q-Clubs}{7-Clubs}
Adam "4bbVirtuoso" Cader: Folded the flop

Insane Pot at GGPoker High-Stakes Cash Game
Insane Pot at GGPoker High-Stakes Cash Game

While most of the focus on GGPoker for both players and observers has been on the ongoing World Series of Poker bracelet events, high-stakes cash action has been popping as well.

Never was that more clear than on Monday, when a wild hand went down, one that wouldn't have looked out of place in a James Bond movie scene.

Check out all the details of this insane pot

Alexandre Looking for Biggest Score

Level 42 : 200,000/400,000, 40,000 ante

The current chip leader, Jean-Francois "Jhope514" Alexandre from Laval, Quebec, is no stranger to the green felt. A real estate agent by day, Alexandre has a few cashes from the local Playground Poker club, including the WPT500 in 2019, as well as the $5,300 MILLIONS Event #4 in April of 2018. However, a finish of fourth or better here would beat his best cash of $45,348 for 8th in the 2019 WSOP Deep Stack Championship.

Edelstein Doubles through Leader

Level 42 : 200,000/400,000, 40,000 ante

Jean-Francois "Jhope514" Alexandre raised the cutoff to 880,000 and David "Duvidl18" Edelstein shoved the small blind.

Jean-Francois "Jhope514" Alexandre: {k-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}

Board: {5-Spades}{10-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{9-Hearts}

The ace-high held and gave Edelstein the double-up.
