Three Knockouts for Lamb

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Ruivo busts to Lamb
Ruivo busts to Lamb

Towards the end of the previous level, Ben Lamb clashed with Manuel "robocup" Ruivo in a pot of 300,103 and had the best of it with {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} versus {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}. There was no surprise on the {9-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{q-Spades} runout.

Giuseppe "0asis" Iadisernia then defended the big blind and check-called the {9-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{2-Spades} flop to check-shove the {3-Clubs} turn, which Lamb called.

Giuseppe "0asis" Iadisernia: {4-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}
Ben Lamb: {k-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}

Lamb spiked the {10-Clubs} on the river to improve to a superior pair.

Last but not least, Lamb knocked out "mgasol" when the chips went in preflop for a pot of 126,786.

"mgasol": {9-Clubs}{9-Hearts}
Ben Lamb: {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

Again the superior pocket pair held up on the {10-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{4-Spades}{10-Hearts} board.

5 Things You Don’t Know About the WSOP Online on GGPoker

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Now through the first part of September, the WSOP Online will be exclusively on GGPoker, so whether you're playing on the client for the first time or you're a seasoned online pro, we thought we'd bring you five things you didn't know about the WSOP Online on GGPoker.

  • 1. STAKING on DAY 2:
    Poker fans and players can now buy a piece of their favourite player's action or sell their own should they survive Day 1 of phased tournaments.
  • 2. Convert Multiple Event Tickets into T$
    After the series has finished, your unused tickets will be exchanged for T$ that you can use to enter any tournament on GGPoker
  • 3. Pick Your Own WSOP Event
    When the WSOP Online schedule on GGPoker was announced, the poker community was intrigued to see a new type of bracelet event announced! Three 'People's Choice' events were announced, with the formats and buy-ins yet to be announced.
  • 4. Best Stack Forward
    Any player that makes it to the end of a Day 1 with a stack is allowed to take part in additional Day 1s if they want to, providing they have not exceeded the maximum number of re-entries.
    However, if a player finishes multiple Day 1s with chips, only the highest chip stack will go to Day 2.
  • 5. Take Advantage of Bubble Protection
    GGPoker's popular Bubble Protection is available throughout the WSOP Online. It's available for all non-phase events with buy-ins less than $999. This means that if you register before the start of play and go on to bubble the tournament, you'll receive your buy-in back.

Zamani Misses With Second Bullet

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Aditya "inonhmeansfu" Sushant raised to 8,000 from the early position and Martin Zamani defended his big blind.

The flop came {10-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}, Zamani check-shoved for 45,819 when Sushant continued with a bet of 6,455 which was called by the bigger stack.

Martin Zamani: {j-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}
Aditya "inonhmeansfu" Sushant: {k-Spades}{10-Spades}

Zamani had flopped a flush draw while Sushant had hit two pair.

The rest of the board was completed with the {2-Clubs} on the turn and the {k-Hearts} on the river for Sushant to improve to a full house to bust Zamani on his second bullet.

Dattani Busts Shak

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Shak Eliminated by Dattani
Shak Eliminated by Dattani

The action started with a min raise to 8,000 by Dan "oiltrader" Shak in the hijack and he picked up a single caller in chip leader Michel "CrossfireX" Dattani out of the big blind.

Dattani check-raised the {a-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{4-Diamonds} flop from 11,000 to 27,520 and Shak then jammed for 100,120 total, which Dattani called.

Dan "oiltrader" Shak: {j-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}
Michel "CrossfireX" Dattani: {4-Hearts}{4-Spades}

Shak was looking for a diamond or running straight cards but found neither on the {10-Spades} turn and {5-Hearts} river runout.

Two Doubles and a Triple Up

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Shyngis "somebodyelse" Satubayev open shoved a shorter stack with the {3-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} and was called by Christopher Kruk in the big blind with the {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}, who was in fact the even shorter stack. On a board of {8-Spades}{6-Hearts}{5-Spades}{5-Hearts}{j-Clubs}, the tens held up and Satubayev was left short.

Rainer Kempe then defended the big blind against Sean Winter and check-raised the {k-Spades}{5-Hearts}{3-Spades} flop, Winter jammed and Kempe called.

Sean Winter: {a-Spades}{9-Spades}
Rainer Kempe: {k-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}

The {a-Diamonds} turn vaulted Winter into the lead and the {j-Hearts} river changed nothing whatsoever.

Satubayev then jammed his short stack and Rui Ferreira was also all-in, which was called by Ben Lamb as the table chip leader.

Shyngis "somebodyelse" Satubayev: {9-Spades}{9-Clubs}
Rui Ferreira: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}
Ben Lamb: {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}

The {j-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{9-Hearts}{10-Hearts} board gave Satubayev quads and he tripled up, Ferreira doubled through Lamb.
