The Short Stacks Chip Up

Level 42 : 250,000/500,000, 60,000 ante

Viktor Ustimov raised to 1 million on the button and was called by Suraj Mishra in the big blind. Mishra check-raised the {k-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{2-Hearts} flop from 881,100 to 2.3 million and Ustimov quickly let go.

One hand later, Connor Drinan limped in and Christopher Kruk raised to 1.5 million. That ended up winning the pot for Kruk as Drinan folded.

Drinan got those chips back from Kruk when he three-bet jammed into a min-raise by Kruk, who folded after brief consideration.

Daniyar Aubakirov was the next short stack to add some chips when he defended the big blind against Mishra's min-raise and open-shoved the {q-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{6-Hearts} flop for more than 3.4 million.

After the folds of the two big stacks Christopher Kruk and Suraj Mishra in early position, Sylvain Loosli open-shoved for more than 15.7 million in the hijack and Viktor Ustimov called all-in for 5,441,128 in the big blind.

Viktor Ustimov: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}

Aubakirov Doubles Through Kruk
Aubakirov Doubles Through Kruk

Daniyar Aubakirov open-shoved for the last 6,718,085 and Christopher Kruk isolated by reshoving from the cutoff.

Daniyar Aubakirov: {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
Christopher Kruk: {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades}

Nothing changed on the {7-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{3-Spades} flop but Aubakirov gained a lot of equity on the {9-Hearts} turn with a gutshot and the nut flush draw. He got there thanks to the {8-Diamonds} river and secured the double.

Level 42 : 250,000/500,000, 60,000 ante

As the first player to act, Viktor Ustimov raised to 1 million and was called by Chris Oliver and Daniyar Aubakirov in the blinds. Aubakirov led the {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{7-Hearts} flop for 820,000 and Ustimov was the only caller.

Mishra Eliminated by Drinan

Connor Drinan opened the action with a raise to 1,260,000 in the cutoff and Suraj Mishra then moved all in from the big blind for 14,850,000. The same had happened in the last orbit and Drinan then reluctantly folded. He now used a decent portion of his time bank and indeed made the call.

Connor Drinan: {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}

Drinan flopped a set on {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} while Mishra picked up a flushdraw on the {5-Diamonds} turn. It was not meant to be for Mishra, who birkced the {k-Clubs} river and exited in 6th place for $288,836.
