The Belgian poker pro was solidly within the top of the chip counts for much of the day but really waited until the final two tables to make his move toward the top.

The final table began with very few big blinds between all the players and the eliminations came rapidly as the entire table took only 30 minutes to complete, with most of the hands being preflop all in battles.

Yuan Yuan "SunnySummer" Li entered the final table as the chip leader and at one point strengthened her lead but eventually Gathy would cut into that lead with several big pots and after Shankar Pillai was eliminated in third place, Gathy held a 2:1 chip lead going into heads up play.

Gathy would not relent in heads up as he did not allow Li to win many pots and quickly whittled Li’s stack down to a very short one before eventually securing his fourth bracelet.

Yuan Yuan "SunnySummer" Li Eliminated in 2nd Place ($194,248)

After just a few hands of heads up play Yuan Yuan "SunnySummer" Li got it all in the middle preflop.

Li held the {q-Spades}{7-Spades} against the {a-Spades}{3-Clubs} of Michael "Hneves" Gathy.

The board ran out {k-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{4-Spades} to bring no help to Li and she was eliminated in 2nd place and Gathy emerged as the winner.

Shankar Pillai Eliminated in 3rd Place ($138,467)

The field was cut to heads up almost immediately afterwards as Shankar Pillai fell to Yuan Yuan "SunnySummer" Li in a preflop all in.

Erik "KoiOfTheHill" Von Buxhoeveden Eliminated in 4th Place ($98,704)

Erik "KoiOfTheHill" Von Buxhoeveden's pocket sixes were no good against the pocket tens Michael "Hneves" Gathy as the board did not provide any help and the field was cut down once again in rapid fashion.

Luis Gustavo "DJLITTLESOUL" Kamei Eliminated in 5th Place ($70,359)

Luis Gustavo "DJLITTLESOUL" Kamei was the next victim of the rapid fire eliminations when his ace-deuce was chased down by the ten-six of Michael "Hneves" Gathy.

Craig "mrfeeny" Mason Eliminated in 6th Place ($50,154)

Craig "mrfeeny" Mason Eliminated was eliminated in 6th place when his extremely short stack was finished off by the {a-Spades}{8-Clubs} of Erik "KoiOfTheHill" Von Buxhoeveden.

Paul "Wizardofodds" Hockin Eliminated in 7th Place ($35,751)

Paul "Wizardofodds" Hockin came up short in a preflop all in when his {a-Clubs}{j-Spades} fell to the {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts} as a queen hit the flop and the rest of the board held to give more chips to Yuan Yuan "SunnySummer" Li.

Toni "FinBuddha" Ojala Eliminated in 8th Place ($25,485)

Toni "FinBuddha" Ojala moved all his chips into the middle and got a call from Yuan Yuan "SunnySummer" Li.

Things were looking good for him to double as he held the {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}. But the flop brought bad news as it came the {q-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{5-Hearts} to give a set to the {5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} of Li.

The turn was the {k-Hearts} and the river came the {9-Diamonds} and Ojala was gone in 9th place.
