Apter Reloads After River Felts Him

Level 8 : 250/500, 50 ante
Brett Apter
Brett Apter

After a player raised to 1,000, Tara "bertperton" Cain three-bet to 3,500 next to act. The short-stacked Brett "Metanemesis" Apter then called off for 1,304 from the cutoff and the original raiser got out of the way.

Tara "bertperton" Cain: {k-Spades}{q-Diamonds}
Brett "Metanemesis" Apter: {a-Clubs}{10-Spades}

Apter got it in good and he held through both the {3-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} flop and {2-Clubs} turn. However, as the title of this post suggests, the river was a nasty one as it came the {q-Clubs} to pair Cain.

Apter opted to rebuy and was given a fresh 25,000 starting stack.

Nasty Run Out Inspires Parry to Rebuy

Level 7 : 200/400, 40 ante

Dan "iGetLost" Dizenzo raised to 880 from the cutoff and then called when Matthew "EarvinMagic" Parry three-bet all in for 4,256 from the small blind.

Dan "iGetLost" Dizenzo: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}
Matthew "EarvinMagic" Parry: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}

Parry was primed to double with the superior ace and event more so when the {k-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{5-Hearts} flop paired his king. Unfortunately for him, the running {j-Hearts} turn and {10-Clubs} river gave Dizenzo a Broadway straight for the win.

Parry was felted but opted to rebuy and reload to 25,000.

Funaro Rebuys After Running Into Liebert's Ladies

Level 7 : 200/400, 40 ante
Kathy Liebert
Kathy Liebert

Kathy "Luckygal" Liebert raised from under the gun and Frank "thewholefunk" Funaro three-bet to 2,490 from the hijack.

Action on the tabled folded back around to Liebert who four-bet to 8,160 before calling Funaro's 16,477 five-bet jam.

Kathy "Luckygal" Liebert: {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}
Frank "thewholefunk" Funaro: {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}

Funaro was way behind and things got worse after a queen appeared in the window on the {4-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{q-Spades} flop.

The {8-Hearts} turn left Funaro drawing dead and he re-entered the tournament after the {2-Clubs} completed the board on the river.
