Natural8 2020 WSOP Online Performances of the Week: Ryan "Im.Sorry" Runner-Up & Champ in Back-to-Back Days

Ryan Torgersen
Ryan Torgersen

The 2020 World Series of Poker (WSOP) online bracelet events will run from July 1st to September 6th and is comprised of 85 WSOP gold bracelets on the digital felt across two different clients: WSOP.com and GG Poker.

Each week, we’ll highlight those players who rise to the top through their performance, be it a dominating one in a single event, or an exhibition of consistency over several tournaments. In the first week, honors went to Shawn “SayGoodnight” Daniels after he made two final tables. This week, several players put in noteworthy performances, though one stood above all the rest.

Over the course of two days, New Jersey’s Ryan “im.sorry” Torgersen did something truly incredible. First, he navigated his way through a 1,026-entry field in Event #9: $1,000 NLH 6-Max only to fall one spot shy of winning a bracelet. The following day, he found redemption by capturing a bracelet in Event #10: $600 Monster Stack.

Myles "Shipthemoney" Kotler: {k-Diamonds}{k-Spades}
Scott "thepunisher" Blackman: {2-Clubs}{2-Spades}

Julian "Julian" Parmann: {k-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}
Matthew "EarvinMagic" Parry: {6-Diamonds}{3-Spades}

The board ran out {6-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{10-Clubs} and Parry won the pot with aces and sixes.

Eric "stackattack5" Salazar Eliminated in 14th Place ($7,876.26)

Eric Salazar
Eric Salazar

With the blinds at 100,000/200,000/25,000, Harrison "harrisond33" Dobin raised to 400,000 from the hijack and called when Eric "stackattack5" Salazar three-bet all in for 1,213,978 from the small blind.

Harrison "harrisond33" Dobin: {q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}
Eric "stackattack5" Salazar: {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades}

Salazar was ahead but the {5-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} flop made things interesting by giving Dobin a diamond flush draw. The {7-Diamonds} turn completed it, which left Salazar drawing dead to the river, which was the meaningless {k-Hearts}.

Justin "Jsaliba2" Saliba Eliminated in 13th Place ($7,876.26)

With blinds at 120,000/240,000/30,000, Daniel "IntoTheRiver" Fischer limped in from under the gun and then called Justin "Jsaliba2" Saliba's 2,280,276 all in raise from the big blind.

Justin "Jsaliba2" Saliba: {q-Spades}{10-Spades}
Daniel "IntoTheRiver" Fischer: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}

Saliba was behind and didn't get any help from the {7-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{j-Clubs} flop.

The {7-Spades} turn made things interesting as Saliba picked up a flush draw but the {9-Clubs} completed the board on the river ending his night in 13th place.
