Welcome to Event #26: $500 No-Limit Hold'em Grande Finale

The final week of the 2020 Online World Series of Poker on WSOP.com continues today with [/b] Event #26: $500 No-Limit Hold'em Grande Finale[/B] at 3:00 p.m. PDT.

The Grande Finale features 15-minute blind levels and the $500 buy-in gives players 15,000 chips to play with.

The tournament allows players to re-enter three times with each re-entry lasting only 30 seconds, so players will need to make sure they have enough funds in their WSOP.com account before the tournament starts if they plan on re-entering.

Late registration and the re-entry option will be open for the first 3 hours and 45 minutes of play. Tournament tickets are not usable for re-entry. This is a single day event meaning the entire tournament will be played out online and the winner will take home a WSOP Gold Bracelet.

This is the twenty-sixth of 85 bracelet events being held on WSOP.com (31 events – one each day for the month of July) and GG Poker (holding the remaining 54 events).

How To Play

The first step in getting set up to play on WSOP.com is to download the client. You can do so for both mobile (Android and iOS) and desktop (Windows 7 or higher and Mac OS X 10.6.8).

To get the correct version of the client, use the links below:

The former client will cater to players in Nevada and New Jersey (players in Delaware are NOT able to participate), while the latter will serve the international base.

WSOP.com Bracelet Event Schedule

As previously mentioned, the online bracelet schedule for the Summer Online WSOP is comprised of 31 events running daily throughout July. THEY ARE ALL ONE-DAY EVENTS.

The scheduled WSOP.com events are available in hold'em and Omaha formats. Popular live staples like the BIG 50 and Senior's Event have been moved online.

The marquee tournament is $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em Championship, which takes place on Friday, July 31. All events will kick off at 3 p.m. PDT.

Satellites are running now for as little $1.

Matthew “Michmeister” Mich Looking to Close Series as Strong as He Started

Level 7 : 100/200, 25 ante
Matthew “Michmeister” Mich
Matthew “Michmeister” Mich

At the beginning of the month, Iowa’s Matthew “Michmeister” Mich had just $3,344 in live tournament earnings, nearly half of which came from two small WSOP cashes, one in 2018 and the other in 2019.

What those paltry numbers don’t reveal is his experience and success online, which was on display in the 2020 WSOP online bracelet events early on as he cashed in all three of the first events right off the bat. It started when he took 19th in Event #1: $500 NLH Kickoff, and on Thursday he final tabled Event #2: $1,000 NLH 8-Handed Deepstack for $15,628. In Event #3: $400 NLH, he placed 298th for a $602.20 min-cash.

Since then, he's added three other cashes and is hoping for a seventh, and his first bracelet, in this event.

Mich, a former poker dealer, traveled to Las Vegas with Taylor Howard, a Mid-States Poker Tour (MSPT) champ who finished in 26th place in the aforementioned kickoff event.

“He was only planning on being out here a couple weeks, but now I think he might stay with me and chase the leaderboard,” Howard said of his friend.

Mich previously sent PokerNews these photos of him at his grind station.

Hudson, who was kind enough to send us this selfie of him on the grind, is looking for his first WSOP-related cash, and if he plays his cards right he just may get it tonight.

Daniel Negreanu
Daniel Negreanu

"bigross93" opened under the gun for 640, "JJVegas" called from middle position and action folded to Daniel "DNegs" Negrean who three-bet to 2,440 from the button.

Only "bigross93" called to see the {a-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{a-Clubs} flop appear and they check-raised Nereanu's 1,280 continuation bet to 3,250.

Negreanu called, fired out 3,840 after "bigross93" checked the {k-Hearts} turn and was called.

Once the {6-Clubs} completed the board on the river, "bigross93" check-called Negreanu's 13,297 jam and both players tabled their hands.

"bigross93" showed {a-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} for trip aces but it was no good as Negreanu turned the full house holding {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts} to scoop the double.

Hellmuth Eliminated by Onikoul

Level 15 : 500/1,000, 125 ante
Phil Hellmuth
Phil Hellmuth

Phil "Lumestackin" Hellmuth raised all in for 7,472 from the hijack and Arkadi "Stupidaxpeh" Onikoul looked him up from the big blind.

Phil "Lumestackin" Hellmuth: {4-Spades}{4-Clubs}
Arkadi "Stupidaxpeh" Onikoul: {k-Clubs}{j-Spades}

Hellmuth was ahead with his made and nothing changed after the {6-Spades}{9-Clubs}{10-Hearts} flop, but Onikoul did add more outs to the gutshot straight draw.

The {k-Diamonds} turn was bad for Hellmuth as it paired Onikoul's king and the {q-Diamonds} river sent the 15-time bracelet winner to the rail.
