Aces End Alfa's Day

Level 7 : 300/600, 60 ante
Dave Alfa
Dave Alfa

Dave "DunningKrugr" Alfa limped from early position. "crispy777" raised it to 2,580, it folded back around to Alfa who moved his remaining 15,596 into the middle and was snap called by "crispy777" and Alfa saw the bad news.

"crispy777": {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}
Dave "DunningKrugr" Alfa: {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}

The flop came {9-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{k-Spades} to provide some slight hope. The turn was the {3-Clubs} and the river the {7-Clubs} to confirm Alfa's elimination.

Von Kriegenbergh Takes Chip Lead After Call From Hellmuth

Level 7 : 300/600, 60 ante
Taylor von Kriegenbergh
Taylor von Kriegenbergh

Taylor "ZeroTo100" Von Kriegenbergh raised to 1,200 from the hijack. Phil "Lumestackin' Hellmuth defended from the big blind.

The flop came {4-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}. There was a flurry of action as Von Kriegenbergh min bet 600, which Hellmuth raised to 1,200 and Von Kriegenbergh then three-bet to 4,800 and Hellmuth called.

The turn was the {a-Hearts}. Hellmuth checked and Von Kriegenbergh bet 4,620 which Hellmuth called.

The {k-Clubs} came off on the river. After another check from Hellmuth, Von Kriegenbergh bet 12,840 into a pot of 22,080. Hellmuth thought it over for about 30 seconds before calling.

Von Kriegenbergh showed the {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts} for the winner to give him the chip lead with a stack of well over 200,000 and Hellmuth was knocked down to a shorter stack.

Hochstetler Takes a Hit Due to "1badace"

Level 7 : 300/600, 60 ante

Ryan "joeyisamush" Depaulo opened for 1,800 from early position and Hayley "iaSTcyclones" Hochstetler called from the small blind. "1badace" came long from the big and the trio took a flop of {6-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{k-Spades}.

Hochstetler checked, "1badace" bet 1,800, and Depaulo called. Hochstetler came along as well and the {a-Spades} appeared on the turn.

Hochstetler checked for the second time, "1badace" bet 4,200, and Depaulo folded. Hochstetler then spring to life with a check-raise to 13,200 and "1badace" called.

When the {a-Clubs} paired the board on the river, Hochstetler checked but called when "1badace" bet 9,600.

"1badace" turned over the {a-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} for aces full of sixes and it was good as Hochstetler mucked.

Noted poker photographer Hayley "iaSTcyclones" Hochstetler, who has shot many photos for both PokerNews and the WSOP, has put down her camera to participate in the 2020 WSOP Main Event.

In a recent hand, she opened for 1,000 from early position and poker vlogger Ryan "joeyisamush" Depaulo, who shipped an online bracelet over the summer, called from the hijack. Adrian "ParTee" Buckley came along from the small blind, as did Shaun "nyjets23" O'Donnell from the big, and it was four-way action to the {8-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} flop.

All four players checked, the {7-Hearts} appeared on the turn, and O'Donnell bet 1,337. Both Hochstetler and Depaulo called while Buckley got out of the way headed to the {2-Hearts} river.

All three players returned to checking and O'Donnell showed the {a-Spades}{7-Diamonds}. It was no good though as Hochstetler tabled the {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} while Depaulo mucked.

Adams Gathers Nice Pot With Overpair

Level 6 : 250/500, 50 ante
Brandon Adams
Brandon Adams

Ryan "GoFeltaFish" Eriquezzo raised to 1,100 from early position. "TheKingKick" called from the cutoff as did Brandon "DrOctagon" Adams from the button.

The blinds folded and three players went to the flop which came {6-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{4-Spades}. "TheKingKick" bet 2,750, Adams called and Eriquezzo folded.

The turn was the {3-Clubs}. Adams called the bet of 7,500 from his opponent to build a decent size pot of exactly 25,000.

The river was the {8-Spades}. "TheKingKick" slowed down and checked. Adams bet 13,000 which was called after a few moments.

Adams showed an overpair the {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} which was good as the pot of 51,000 was shipped his way.

Farah Dispatches Carroll

Level 6 : 250/500, 50 ante
James Carroll
James Carroll

James "meatsweats" Carroll moved all in for 4,198 from the hijack and David "dkf08" Farah isolated by making it 7,896 to go from the button. Both blinds folded and the cards were turned up.

James "meatsweats" Carroll: {a-Hearts}{9-Clubs}
David "dkf08" Farah: {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}

The {q-Hearts}{4-Spades}{9-Hearts} flop gave Farah top set, but Carroll picked up a flush draw when the {8-Hearts} appeared on the turn. Unfortunately for him, the {6-Clubs} river was a brick and his 2020 WSOP Main Event came to an end.

Big Stacks Tangle

Level 6 : 250/500, 50 ante

"TurtleKoala" raised to 1,350 from middle position, a player in middle position called as did "MichUltra" from the big blind.

The flop came {10-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{k-Hearts}. "TurtleKoala" bet 3,562 into the pot of 4,750. The middle position caller folded and "MichUltra" called".

The turn was the {k-Spades}. After a check, "TurtleKoala" bet 2,937 which "MichUltra" called again.

The river came the {6-Clubs}. "MichUltra" checked and "TurtleKoala" checked behind. "MichUltra" turned over the nut flush with the {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs} revealing that the check on the river was an attempt to bait the hook that did not get "TurtleKoala" to bite.
