Brazil’s Eduardo "Ghazbaran" Rodrigues knocked out two players on the final hand to win his first WSOP gold bracelet in Event #20: $1,500 MONSTER STACK NLH Freezeout. Rodrigues came into the final table as the chip leader and maintained that position for most of the way until Sammartino’s final table run put him near the bottom. The late turning point came with four players left when Rodrigues made quads against Jerecho “choleeek89” Caballero and quickly followed that up with a pair of queens to move back into the chip lead.

After Thomas “zizelux” Harvey was knocked out in third place, Rodrigues extended the lead with a big pot by check-raising Callabero’s river bet to force the fold. The final two eliminations did not wait long as Rodrigues found the victory with ace-queen in a three-way final pot when a flopped ace defeated Sammartino and knocked out Caballero’s ace with the better kicker.
